Product Description
Experience the delight of watching adorable little penguins climb to the top of their iceberg and then “swoosh” down the slide to the bottom. This toy is designed to increase visual attention and tracking skills.
It is compatible with capability switches.
The toy features a track where penguins ascend an icy slope and then slide down. The overall visual is one of playful movement and a wintery theme.
Specifications
- Size: 7¼" L x 2½" W x 8¾" H
- Weight: 1 lbs.
- Requires: Capability Switch and 3 AA Batteries (not included)
Operation
- Insert 3 AA alkaline batteries (e.g., Duracell or Energizer). Do not use rechargeable batteries or other types as they may supply lower voltage and prevent proper operation.
- The battery compartment is on the side of the unit. Unscrew the Phillips head screw, remove the cover, and install batteries observing correct polarity (+/-). Replace cover and screw.
- Set the ON/OFF switch to OFF for external switch use. The toy operates continuously without an external switch. For switch use, connect to any external capability switch via the 1/8" cord jack. A mono adapter (not stereo) is required if using a ¼" to 1/8" adapter.
- Ensure connections between the capability switch, adapter (if used), and the slide toy jack are tight with no gaps.
- Assemble the track (refer to instructions on the box cover). Load the supplied penguins into the track at the bottom of the staircase. Ensure the slide toy is on a level surface. Activate and maintain activation of your external capability switch to start the toy picking up penguins. Once a penguin reaches the top, it will roll down the track.
- Releasing the switch stops the toy. For timed play or start/stop functionality, use a switch latch timer module (e.g., No. 605) or a switch with a built-in latch/timer function (indicated by "-X" in the model number).
Troubleshooting
Problem: The slide toy does not work.
- Action #1: Check or replace the 3 AA batteries with fresh ones.
- Action #2: Ensure the toy is on a flat, level surface and nothing obstructs the penguins or track. Use only the included penguins; other pieces will not work.
- Action #3: Test with a different, known-working switch to rule out the toy as the issue.
Problem: The slide toy runs continuously when a switch is plugged in.
- Action #1: Verify the switch is fully plugged into the cord jack with no gap. A gap can cause continuous running.
Care of Unit
- Wipe clean with a household multi-purpose cleaner and disinfectant. Simple Green (a non-toxic, biodegradable all-purpose cleaner) is recommended.
- Do not submerge the unit, as this can damage internal components.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the surface.
