If installation near a heat source is unavoidable, use insulation and maintain specified distances. Keep at least 30 cm away from heat sources.

Operational Safety

Keep at least 5 cm away from electric ovens. Your product has protection class I; plug into a grounded socket conforming to voltage, current, and frequency specifications. The socket outlet should have a 10-16 A fuse. IKEA of Sweden is not liable for damages from operating without proper grounding and electrical connections. The power cable must be unplugged during installation. Do not plug into loose, broken, dirty, or wet sockets. Place the power cord and hoses to avoid tripping hazards. Humidity penetration to live parts or the power cord can cause short circuits; avoid humid environments or areas where water may splash. If the refrigerator gets wet, unplug and contact service. Do not connect to power-saving devices. Do not use chemical solvents; they pose an explosion risk. In case of product failure, unplug and do not operate until repaired. Do not place flames (e.g., candles) on or near the product. Do not climb on the product. Do not use sharp or piercing tools that can damage cooling system pipes. Refrigerant spray can cause skin irritation or eye injury. Do not place or operate electric appliances inside the refrigerator unless recommended. Be careful not to jam hands or body parts in moving parts. Prevent fingers from getting caught between the refrigerator and the door. Be careful when opening/closing the door if children are present. Do not put ice cream or ice cubes in your mouth immediately after removal; risk of frostbite. Do not touch inner walls or metal parts with wet hands; risk of frostbite. Do not place cans with fluids that may freeze in the freezer compartment; cans may explode. Do not use or place temperature-sensitive materials like flammable sprays, objects, dry ice, or chemicals near the refrigerator; risk of fire and explosion. Do not store explosive materials like aerosol cans. Do not place cans with fluids over the product; splashing may cause electric shock or fire. The product is not intended for storing medicines, blood plasma, or laboratory preparations. Misuse may cause damage or deterioration of stored products. If equipped with blue light, do not look directly at it with optical devices; prolonged exposure may cause eye strain. Do not overfill the product; contents may fall when the door is opened. Ensure floors are dry to prevent slips. Change rack locations only when empty; danger of injury. Do not place objects on top of the product that may fall. Product Description

Diagram shows various parts of the refrigerator including shelves, adjustable legs, ventilation grid, thermostat box, freezer door, and vegetable compartment. A drain hole cleaning tool is also included.

First Use

Ensure all preparations are made according to safety and installation instructions. If transported horizontally, do not plug in for 4 hours. Operate empty for 12 hours without opening the door. Original packaging should be kept for future transport. Use baskets/drawers for energy efficiency. Avoid contact between food and the freezer compartment temperature sensor. The instrument panel may turn off automatically after 5 minutes. Condensation on shelves and glass containers is normal due to temperature changes.

Daily Use

Temperature is regulated by the control knob. Settings range from 1 (lowest cooling) to 5 (highest cooling). The average fridge temperature should be around +5°C. Choose settings according to desired temperature. Different temperatures exist within the cooling area; the coldest region is above the vegetable compartment. Interior temperature depends on ambient temperature, door opening frequency, and food load. Close the door promptly after use. Rotate the knob to turn off the appliance.

Temperature Control and Adjustment

Operating temperatures are controlled by the thermostat. Settings range from 1 to 5. After 24 hours of first use, the average fridge temperature should not exceed +5°C. Setting the thermostat halfway between 1 and 5 is recommended. Some sections may be cooler or warmer. In ambient temperatures above 25°C, turn the knob towards 5. In ambient temperatures below 25°C, turn the knob to a halfway position. Frequent door opening increases internal temperatures; close the door as soon as possible.

Defrosting

The larder fridge defrosts automatically. Defrosting water collects in a channel and evaporates. Water droplets may form on the back of the fridge and refreeze. Do not use sharp objects to remove them. If the drain tube is blocked, use the provided plunger.

Placing the Refrigerator and Adjusting Legs

Ensure ventilation channels are not blocked. If the refrigerator is unstable, adjust the front legs. It may be easier with assistance. Use the laying side shown on the carton box label for adjustment.

Changing the Illumination Lamp

Contact Authorized Service for bulb/LED replacement. The lamp is for interior lighting only, not house lighting.

Before first use

The ambient room temperature should be at least 10°C for optimal efficiency. Clean the interior thoroughly. If installing side-by-side, allow at least 2 cm distance. During the first six hours of operation: Do not open the door frequently. Operate empty. Do not unplug. Keep original packaging for transport. Use baskets/drawers for energy efficiency. Avoid food contact with the freezer sensor. The instrument panel may turn off automatically. Condensation is normal.

Troubleshooting

The refrigerator does not operate: Check plug insertion, fuse, and ensure the door is not opened frequently. Avoid humid places and store liquids in sealed containers. Close the door if left open. Set temperature appropriately. If the compressor blows out due to power failure, it will restart after 6 minutes. Call service if it doesn't start after this period. Defrost cycle is normal. Check temperature settings and power outage.

Condensation on the side wall: Avoid humid ambient conditions and store liquids in sealed containers. Close the door.

Compressor is not running: Check for fuse issues, power outages, or if the fridge is in a defrost cycle. Ensure temperature settings are correct.

Operation noise increases: Check ambient temperature. If the room temperature is high, the product may operate longer. This is normal. If the refrigerator was recently plugged in or loaded, it will take longer to reach the set temperature. Do not put hot food inside. Frequent door opening causes warm air entry; do not open doors frequently. Check if doors are closed completely. Adjust temperature to a warmer degree if too cold. Clean or replace the door seal if worn or damaged.

Fridge temperature too low, freezer sufficient: Adjust fridge temperature to a warmer degree.

Food in fridge drawers is frozen: Adjust fridge temperature to a warmer degree.

Temperature in fridge or freezer too warm: Adjust fridge/freezer temperatures accordingly. Do not open doors frequently. Close the door completely. This is normal if recently plugged in or loaded. Do not put hot food inside. Ensure the floor is level and stable; adjust feet if necessary. Remove items on top of the refrigerator that may cause noise.

Noises like liquid flowing/spraying: Liquid and gas flows are normal operating sounds.

Whistle from refrigerator: Fans are used for cooling; this is normal.

Condensation on inner walls: Hot and humid weather can cause icing and condensation, which is normal. Do not open doors frequently. Close the door completely.

Humidity outside or between doors: Humidity in the air is normal in humid weather; condensation disappears when humidity decreases. Do not open doors frequently. Close the door completely.

Bad odour inside: Clean regularly with a sponge and lukewarm water or carbonated water. Use different containers or packaging. Keep food in closed containers. Remove expired or spoiled food.

Door not closing: Check for obstructing packages. Ensure the refrigerator is level. Check floor stability.

Crispers are stuck: Rearrange food in the drawer if it touches the ceiling.

Product surface is hot: High temperatures on doors, side panels, and rear grill are normal and do not require service.
