Denon AVR-S670H Quick Start Guide

Thank you for choosing a Denon AVR. This guide will help you configure the settings for your new unit using the Setup Assistant. Follow the on-screen instructions on your TV to complete the setup process.

Before You Begin

Ensure you have the following items for setup:

  • TV
  • HDMI cable
  • Speakers
  • Speaker cables
  • Subwoofer cable (optional)
  • LAN cable or Wi-Fi router (optional)

Note: For optimal performance with 4K and 8K video, use certified "High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet" or "Ultra High Speed HDMI cable" respectively.

Setup Steps

  1. Rotate the antennas: Position the antennas upwards for the best reception. Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port if using a wired network connection.
  2. Connect the power cord: Place the AVR near your TV and connect the power cord.
  3. Connect the AVR to your TV: Use an HDMI cable to connect the AVR's HDMI OUT TV port to your TV's HDMI IN (ARC/eARC) port.
  4. Turn on the TV.
  5. Select the appropriate HDMI input on your TV using the TV remote control.
  6. Install batteries in the AVR remote control.
  7. Turn on the AVR by pressing the power button on the remote control.
  8. Verify the connection: Ensure the "AV Receiver Setup Assistant" screen appears on your TV. If not, retrace the previous steps.
  9. Follow the on-screen Setup Assistant: The assistant will guide you through connecting and configuring your speakers and other components.

Firmware Update: After completing the Setup Assistant, you may be prompted to update the firmware. Select "Update Now" to ensure your AVR has the latest features.
