DAP-3666: Outdoor Dual-Band Access Point AC1200 Wave 2
The DAP-3666 is an outdoor dual-band access point designed for demanding environments. It supports the latest 802.11ac standard, offering high-speed wireless connectivity. Its rugged, all-weather IP68 enclosure makes it ideal for deployment in factories, industrial complexes, conference centers, university campuses, airports, and seaports.
The DAP-3666 can be used as a standalone device or managed by a Nuclias Connect controller, simplifying wireless network administration and providing advanced management features like continuous monitoring, network activity analysis, task automation, performance monitoring, and network security control.
High-Speed 802.11ac Connectivity
The DAP-3666 provides reliable wireless connectivity with speeds up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 866 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, utilizing the 802.11ac standard¹. Combined with Wi-Fi Multimedia™ (WMM) Quality of Service (QoS), it is ideal for audio, video, and voice applications. QoS automatically prioritizes network traffic for applications like HD video streaming or VoIP. QoS can be configured via the DAP-3666's web interface. The device also supports load balancing to ensure optimal performance by limiting the number of users per access point.
Outdoor Deployment
Designed for outdoor use, the DAP-3666 features an all-weather IP68-rated enclosure that protects against dust and moisture. With 802.11ac support and powerful antennas, it can be placed almost anywhere a wireless network coverage is needed.
Multifunctionality
The DAP-3666 enables network administrators to create a manageable and reliable wireless network operating simultaneously on dual bands. It can provide optimal coverage in either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band. The DAP-3666 supports 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing installation in locations without power outlets.
Security
To secure the wireless network, the DAP-3666 supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3 encryption technologies with an internal RADIUS server for user account creation. It also supports MAC address filtering, wireless segmentation, SSID broadcast suppression, rogue AP detection, and scheduled wireless broadcast. The DAP-3666 supports up to 8 VLANs per frequency band for user segmentation. It includes a wireless client isolation mechanism to restrict direct client-to-client communication. Network Access Protection (NAP) allows administrators to set multiple levels of network access based on client needs.
Multiple Operational Modes
The DAP-3666 supports four operational modes for various network tasks:
- Access Point: Allows 802.11a/b/g/n/ac devices to connect to the wireless network.
- WDS (WDS with AP): Enables wireless connection with other access points to extend network coverage or bridge wired network segments.
- Wireless Client: Connects to an existing wireless network to provide network access to wired devices.
Network Management
Network administrators can manage the DAP-3666 via a Web interface (HTTP/HTTPS), Secure Shell (SSH) for a secure connection, and Telnet. The DAP-3666 also features a wireless scheduler to conserve power by disabling wireless functionality when not needed. Its dual-band operation, PoE support, manageability, multiple modes, and robust security features make it an ideal solution for large enterprises and SMBs.
MU-MIMO Technology
The DAP-3666 supports MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology, allowing it to simultaneously transmit independent data streams to multiple clients via different antennas. This improves radio channel utilization and significantly increases overall network throughput.
