- Robust Security and Authentication: Features WPA/WPA2-Personal/Enterprise, wireless segmentation, and VLAN support for comprehensive network security.
- Multiple Operating Modes: Supports Access Point, Wireless Distribution System (WDS) with Access Point, WDS/Bridge, and Wireless Client modes.
DAP-2695: AC1750 Dual-Band Access Point with PoE, Nuclias Connect, and 6 External Antennas
The DAP-2695 is designed for enterprise and SMB networks, providing administrators with a manageable and secure dual-band wireless network experience, leveraging the latest 802.11ac standard.
It can be used as a standalone device or managed by the DNH-100 Nuclias Connect controller, offering simplified administration, continuous monitoring, automated configuration, and performance/security management.
High-Speed 802.11ac Connectivity
The DAP-2695 delivers reliable wireless speeds of up to 450 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. With Wi-Fi Multimedia™ (WMM) Quality of Service (QoS), it's ideal for audio, video, and voice applications. QoS can be configured via the Web interface to prioritize traffic, and load balancing ensures optimal performance by limiting the number of clients per access point.
Versatile Functionality
The DAP-2695 allows administrators to create a manageable and robust wireless network operating on both frequency bands. It features six detachable antennas for optimal coverage in the 2.4 GHz (802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n) and 5 GHz (802.11a, 802.11n, 802.11ac) bands. The plenum-rated metal housing supports 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling installation in locations without readily available power outlets.
Security Features
For enhanced security, the DAP-2695 supports WPA and WPA2 (802.11i) - Personal and Enterprise modes, with an integrated RADIUS server for user account management. It also includes MAC address filtering, wireless segmentation, SSID broadcast disabling, rogue AP detection, and scheduled wireless operation. The DAP-2695 supports up to 8 VLANs per frequency band for user segmentation and features client isolation to restrict direct client-to-client communication. Network Access Protection (NAP) is also supported for network access control based on client needs.
Multiple Operating Modes
To maximize return on investment, the DAP-2695 can be configured as an Access Point, WDS with Access Point, WDS/Bridge (No AP Broadcast), or Wireless Client. WDS support allows multiple DAP-2695 units to be bridged together while providing network access to individual clients. Advanced features like load balancing and redundancy ensure uninterrupted wireless connectivity.
Network Management
Administrators have several management options, including Web interface (HTTP), Secure Socket Layer (SSL), Secure Shell (SSH), and Telnet. For advanced management, D-Link AP Manager II or the D-View SNMP module can be used to manage multiple access points from a single computer. AP Manager II and D-Link software allow for remote equipment checks. The AP Array function enables managing a group of network devices as a single entity for easy configuration and deployment. A wireless scheduler can conserve power by disabling wireless functionality when not needed.
