Getting Started: Download the Yi IoT App
To begin, download the Yi IoT mobile application:
- Scan the QR code below to download the Yi IoT app.
- Alternatively, search for "Yi IoT" in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Device Setup: Sign Up, Log In, and Add Camera

If you are a new user, select 'Sign up' and enter your email and desired password. If you have an existing account, select 'Log in'.
A 'Congratulations!' screen indicates successful account creation or login.
Add Camera
After logging in, you will be prompted to add a camera. The app displays a list of room types to assign to your camera, such as 'Nursery', 'Living room', 'Kitchen', 'Front door', 'Garden', 'Bedroom', 'Patio', 'Office', 'Hall', 'Storage', 'Study'.
You can also name your camera, for example, 'Smart Camera'.
The option to 'Share cameras with your family' is available.
Upon successful pairing, a 'Pairing successful' message appears, and you can click the 'Add' button ➕.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
The app guides you through connecting the camera to your Wi-Fi network.
Option 1: Wi-Fi Connection
This mode requires your phone to be connected to Wi-Fi. You will be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi password.

Tips: Place the camera close to the router for a stable connection.
Note:
- 5GHz wireless bands are supported.
- Ensure your phone's location services are turned on.
If you do not hear the audio sequence prompt, press the "RESET" ⚙️ button on the device. Continue for more than 5 seconds until you hear the sequence, indicating the reset is successful.
The process involves the mobile phone scanning a QR code displayed on the camera lens. Upon successful scan, the device will emit prompt sounds like "QR code scan successful" and "WiFi connected". Click 'Next' ▶️ to complete network configuration.
Using the Yi IoT App
The app provides various features for managing your smart camera:

Q: How does the camera store video?
- The camera supports microSD cards up to 64GB (F32 format). It records automatically and overwrites the oldest footage when storage is full (loop recording).
