SRP-MySetup V4.1.1 User Manual
This manual provides detailed information for using the SRP-MySetup software, version 4.1.1, with SRP-GT-R, GTI-R, and Formula R pedals.
It covers two main modes: PRO mode for real car configurations and CUSTOM mode for advanced, custom modifications.
Main Screen Overview
The main screen of the SRP-MySetup application provides access to various functions:
- PRO Basic Settings: Calibrate pedals, adjust dead zones, change brake pressure in real-time, map buttons, save/load profiles.
- CUSTOM Advanced Settings: Access additional adjustments, create custom curves, and adjust brake cut-off without losing pedal travel.
- Language: Select preferred language (English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese).
- Manual: Access the full manual or link to the "SRP SimRacing Pro" YouTube channel.
- Open Monitor: View pedal bars and real-time brake/cut adjustments.
- Open VR Monitor: View pedal bars and adjustments in a VR environment.
- Exit: Close the application.
- Information about: Displays firmware version.
- Profile: Shows the currently active profile.
- Fold-out: Select pedal model and color.
PRO Mode: Basic Adjustment
This section details the basic settings for PRO mode, applicable to both 3-pedal and 2-pedal sets.
Key Functions:
- APPLY ADJUSTMENTS / APPLY SETTINGS: Saves the current profile as the default on the pedal board.
- SAVE: Saves custom game and car profiles.
- UPLOAD: Loads custom game and car profiles.
- CALIBRATE / CALIBRAR: Enters the pedal calibration menu.
- RETURN / GO BACK: Navigates back to the main menu.
- AUTOBRAKE SELECTOR: Activates the brake with the clutch.
- AUTO-CAL: Calibrates the brake based on muscle memory, optimized for vehicles with ABS. It calculates the average of the last three maximum brakings.
- TARA: Calibrates the minimum brake pressure when the piston travel is modified, avoiding a full recalibration sequence.
- CONFIG: Accesses a menu to assign functions to keyboard, steering wheel, keypad, or Stream Deck. Options include raising/lowering maximum pressure, AUTO-CAL, and TARE.
AUTOBRAKE Button:
The AUTOBRAKE button can be activated via mouse or assigned to a steering wheel button. It allows for a quick clutch activation for testing setup or for stationary starts to prevent rolling.
For 3-pedal sets: Press brake (min 25%), then clutch (>98%) for 3 seconds to activate brake at 100%. Releasing the clutch above 95% releases the brake instantly.
For 2-pedal sets: Press brake (min 25%), then a designated steering wheel button (assigned as clutch) for 3 seconds to activate brake at 100%. Releasing the clutch button releases the brake instantly.
CUSTOM Mode: Advanced Adjustment
This section details the advanced settings available in CUSTOM mode, allowing for more granular control and custom curves.
Key Functions:
- APPLY ADJUSTMENTS / APPLY: Saves the current profile as the default.
- SAVE: Saves custom game and car profiles.
- UPLOAD: Loads custom game and car profiles.
- CALIBRAR / CALIBRATE: Enters the pedal calibration menu.
- CLOSE: Returns to the main menu.
- DEFAULT: Resets the pedal curve to its initial setting.
- AUTOBRAKE: Activates the brake with the clutch.
- ABS: Calibrates the brake pedal in real-time.
- T.OFFSET: Adjusts the brake pedal to a specific % permanently accelerated.
Customization includes: Upper and lower dead zones, brake percentage adjustment, "CUT" adjustment zone, creating custom curves, and real-time key combinations for brake and CUT settings.
Calibration Process
Pedals are factory calibrated. Recalibration is recommended if the physical travel of a pedal is modified.
Calibration Steps:
- Select the calibration button without pressing any pedals to read minimum travel.
- ACCELERATOR: Press pedal to maximum for three seconds, then hit the next button before releasing.
- BRAKE (FRENO): Two options:
- If known % is used, press by 10% and adjust with +/- buttons after sequence.
- Simulate a braking scenario (e.g., Monza chicane), press brake to desired maximum, hold for 3 seconds, then hit next button. Fine-tune brake % on track.
CAUTION: Do not test brake limits out of curiosity to avoid damaging the piston.
- CLUTCH: Press pedal to maximum for three seconds, then hit the next button before releasing.
After calibration, use the "APPLY SETTINGS" button to save settings to the pedal board. Dead zones must be applied via the SRP-MySetup application to preserve calibrated steps.
Applying Calibration in Games:
Assign pedals in your game. For iRacing, calibrate from -32767 to +32767. If the game creates curves, set them to linear as SRP pedals have a natural curve. Incorrect curves can lead to poor performance.
Brake Adjustment & Usage
You can adjust the brake percentage (%) in real-time. Lowering the value results in more braking, while raising it results in less.
Methods for Real-time Adjustment:
- Tab to the SRP-MySetup application and use the +/- buttons.
- Use assigned in-game keys (e.g., F1, F2).
- Assign buttons on your steering wheel, keypad, or Stream Deck using software like JoyToKey (refer to SRP SimRacing Pro YouTube tutorials).
Tip for Adjusting Brake %:
The goal is to find optimal muscle pressure for natural braking. Adjust the brake % by lowering or raising values until the desired pressure is achieved, even if the car doesn't lock up. Once satisfied, use "apply settings" to make it permanent. "Apply adjustments" is only needed for permanent saving; real-time changes don't require it.
Circumstances for Brake Pressure Adjustment:
- Overheating Tires: Increase value to brake softer and lower temperature.
- Extreme Overtaking: Lower value for extra braking power.
- Driver Fatigue: Lower value to brake with less pressure and rest.
Adjusting the Adjustment Zone (CUT):
This setting limits the brake signal by a percentage without affecting pedal travel. 100% of the brake travel remains usable. This zone is active only at the braking limit. It can be modified in real-time via key assignments.
Display Monitor & VR
The SRP-MySetup application includes display monitors for real-time feedback.
- Activate Monitor / Activate VR Monitor: Selectable from the main screen.
- Once activated, pedal bars showing brake % and CUT % are displayed. For best visibility, use window mode in your games.
Enable VR Headset Monitor:
To enable the VR monitor, enter the game, tab to the application, and select "activate VR monitor" using the "Windows + down arrow" key combination. A menu will appear to adjust the monitor's position in your field of view. Changes can be previewed by clicking "apply VR settings".
Troubleshooting
If the application does not open or the screen remains black:
- Check that the USB cable is correctly connected.
- Ensure you have the latest firmware version. If not, update manually or contact technical support at support@simracing-pro.co for assistance.
