Bmobile MiFi Web User Interface Guide
To Log on to Web User Interface
First connect the Laptop or PC to the Mobile WiFi network.
- Open a web browser (like Explorer or Chrome) and access to: http://192.168.8.1/ by using the address bar.
- Input the device administrator password (default: admin).
Home Screen View
The HOME screen will show the basic status of the MiFi.
- Network status (signal bars, 4G/3G connection, speed statistics) can be checked in the main screen.
- WiFi status and quantity of devices connected can also be verified in the home screen.
- Change language, SMS status, logging off and restart the device.
Changing WiFi Name and Password
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Wi-Fi Settings > Wi-Fi Basics Settings.
- In this menu you can:
- Change WiFi Name (SSID)
- Change WiFi Password
Activate Roaming
Roaming can be enabled or disabled.
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Network Settings > Mobile Network > Internet Connection.
- In this menu you can activate / disable Data while roaming.
Mobile Network Searching
For best performance, this should remain on AUTO.
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Network Settings > Mobile Network > Mobile Network Searching.
Manage Devices
This menu will allow you to check the devices connected to the WiFi, and also manage them.
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Devices.
- Online devices show the current active connections with details about them: Name, Time, MAC address. You can disable / enable the internet access one by one.
- Offline device shows non-active connections. You can delete them for future requesting new access to the MiFi services.
SMS – Short Messages
This menu will allow you to manage the short messages (SMS) into the device.
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Tools > SMS > SMS Conversation and Settings.
- In Conversation menu you can:
- Read SMS
- Write SMS
- Manage SMS
Access MIFI USSD Menu
MIFI USSD *600# will allow you to purchase Data Add Ons and check your bundle balance.
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Tools> USSD.
Change Maximum Number of Users
Maximum number of users (1 to 8 max) can be modified in WiFi Advance Settings.
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Advanced > Wi-Fi > Advance Settings.
- In Advanced menu you can:
- Change Max User (8 by default)
- Change Wi-Fi Sleep Time
Activate Guest Wifi
Guest Wifi can be activated in WiFi Settings.
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Wi-Fi Settings > Guest Wi-Fi.
- In Guest Wi-Fi menu you can:
- Set Duration
- Set Wi-Fi name (SSID)
- Set Wi-Fi Password
WiFi Extender Set Up
The Extender feature can be activated and configured according to end user needs.
- Access to the main WebUI menu, then go to Network Settings > Wi-Fi Extender > Wi-Fi Extender Settings and Connection.
- In this menu you can activate the feature and configure the Wi-Fi network that you want to extend the coverage.
- The Wi-Fi extender connection will be prioritized when it is enabled and configured.
