Schuberth SC Edge Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your Schuberth SC Edge communication system.

Product Details
SC EDGE
Controls:
- Power & device pairing button: [power-symbol] button
- Status LED: Indicates device status.
- LED Indicator: Shows different states (colors may vary).
- Reset: [reset-symbol] button
- USB Charging port: For charging the device.
SC EDGE Remote Control
- (+) Button: Increases volume or navigates forward.
- (-) Button: Decreases volume or navigates backward.
- Media: Controls media playback.
- Intercom Button: Initiates intercom functions.
- Battery Slot: Holds the battery.
- Battery Release Hole: For releasing the battery.
Installation
Inserting the Battery
- Insert the battery into the designated slot.
- The unit also supports CR 2025 or CR 2016 batteries.
Installing the SC EDGE Remote Control
- Attach the cover for the SC EDGE Remote Control.
- Slide the remote control into place.
Installing the SC EDGE
- Align and insert the SC Edge unit into the helmet mount.
- Connect the single connector. Ensure it clicks into place (1x click).
- Align and insert the SC Edge unit.
- Ensure the unit is securely attached (1x click).
Removing the SC EDGE
- Release the SC Edge unit from the helmet mount.
- Disconnect the connectors by wiggling and pulling gently.
- Clean the communicator with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened in an electronic-safe solution. Avoid abrasive materials and ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
Installing the Microphone
Note: The microphone is pre-installed on the S3 helmet.
- Install the microphone by pressing firmly on the area marked with the orange circle.
- Position the small triangle towards the mouth for optimal voice capture.
Getting Started
The SC Edge and SC Edge Remote Control are pre-paired. They will automatically connect when powered on.
- Power On: Tap the [power-symbol] button once.
- Power Off: Tap the [power-symbol] button once.
- Wake Up: Press any button on the remote control. The remote enters sleep mode after 2 hours of inactivity.
Basic Operations
Power Off - Remote
Press and hold the [power-symbol] button for 5 seconds.
Phone Pairing
Step 1: Initiate pairing mode on the SC Edge (LED Red & Blue).
Step 2: On your smartphone, search for "SC EDGE" via Bluetooth and connect.
Cardo Connect App
- Download: Available on the App Store and Google Play.
- Register: Create an account within the app.
- Choose Language: Select your preferred language.
- Update Software: Keep your device firmware up-to-date.
Device Pairing (GPS/Bike/Phone)
Step 1: Initiate pairing mode on the SC Edge (LED Red & Blue).
Step 2: Pair with GPS, Phone 1, Bike, or Phone 2 by following the on-screen instructions and tapping the respective buttons.
- Stop Phone: Press and hold the [power-symbol] button for 2 seconds.
- Volume Up: Tap the (+) button once.
- Volume Down: Tap the (-) button once.
- Mute / Unmute Microphone: Tap the (+) and (-) buttons simultaneously once.
- Voice Assistant: Activate Siri or Google Assistant by saying "Hey Siri" or "OK Google".
Radio Functions
Set Presets
- Use the Cardo Connect App to set radio presets.
- Access FM radio through the app.
- On: Press the (+) button twice.
- Off: Press and hold the (+) button for 2 seconds.
- Next Preset: Tap the (+) button once.
- Previous Preset: Tap the (-) button twice.
- Auto tune: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 2 seconds.
Music Functions
- On: Tap the (+) button once.
- Off: Press and hold the (+) button for 2 seconds.
- Next: Tap the (+) button once.
- Previous: Tap the (-) button twice.
- Mute audio: Tap the (+) and (-) buttons simultaneously once.
- Unmute audio: Tap any button.
Sharing Features
Set Sharing Partner
- Follow the app instructions to set a sharing partner.
- Start or stop sharing by pressing and holding the (+) and (-) buttons for 2 seconds.
Switch Source
- Music to Radio: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 5 seconds.
- Radio to Music: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 5 seconds.
Phone Calls
- Answer incoming call: Tap the (+) button once or tap the (-) button once.
- Ignore incoming call: Tap the (-) button once.
- End Call: Tap the (+) button once or tap the (-) button once.
- Speed dial (predefined number): Tap the (+) button three times.
DMC Intercom
- Grouping: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 5 seconds. LED turns Purple upon successful grouping.
- Stop Grouping: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 2 seconds.
- Mute / Unmute group: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 2 seconds.
- Share call: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 2 seconds.
- Start / Stop Private Chat: Tap the (+) button twice.
- Connect / Disconnect Bluetooth passenger to DMC: Tap the (+) button three times.
Switch source
- DMC to Bluetooth®: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 5 seconds.
- Bluetooth® to DMC: Press and hold the (+) and (-) buttons for 5 seconds.
Bluetooth Intercom
Pairing
Pair to Rider A: Press and hold the [power-symbol] button for 5 seconds (LED Red).
Pair to Rider B: Press and hold the [power-symbol] button for 5 seconds (LED Red), then tap the (+) button once (LED Blue).
Return to Rider A: Tap the [power-symbol] button once.
- Stop Intercom pairing: Press and hold the [power-symbol] button for 2 seconds.
- Share / Stop phone call: Press and hold the [power-symbol] button for 2 seconds.
- Call/End Intercom (for both Rider A&B): Tap the [power-symbol] button once.
Troubleshooting
- Reboot: Press and hold the [power-symbol] button for 5 seconds.
- Factory Reset: Press and hold the [power-symbol] button for 10 seconds. This will delete all pairings and user settings. Alternatively, perform a factory reset through the Cardo Connect App.
Caution: The small hole is a microphone. Do not insert any sharp objects.
Voice Commands - Always On!
- Calls: Answer, Ignore, "Hey Cardo, end call", "Hey Cardo, speed dial", "Hey Cardo, redial number".
- Music: "Hey Cardo, music on", "Hey Cardo, music off", "Hey Cardo, next track", "Hey Cardo, previous track", "Hey Cardo, share music".
- Radio: "Hey Cardo, radio on", "Hey Cardo, radio off", "Hey Cardo, next station", "Hey Cardo, previous station".
- Intercom (Bluetooth only): "Hey Cardo, call intercom", "Hey Cardo, end intercom".
- Voice Assistants: "Hey Siri", "OK Google".
- Volume: "Hey Cardo, volume up", "Hey Cardo, volume down".
- Microphone: "Hey Cardo, mute audio", "Hey Cardo, unmute audio", "Hey Cardo, mute microphone", "Hey Cardo, unmute microphone".
- Battery: "Hey Cardo, battery status".
