Introduction
Thank you for purchasing SIYI's product.
The SIYI AI tracking module supports collaborative control with SIYI optical pods and gimbal cameras to achieve real-time tracking and capture of targets. It can highlight the tracking target in the picture through real-time focus and zoom. The module supports an anti-lost function. During the tracking process, if the target is blocked or briefly leaves the monitoring screen, the AI tracking module can automatically recognize and continue tracking when it re-enters the monitoring screen.

2 Typical Connection Diagram
2.1 SIYI Optical Pod Outputs HDMI Video through Ethernet to HDMI Converter
This diagram illustrates the connection between a SIYI ZR10 Optical Pod and the Ethernet to HDMI Converter. The ZR10 Optical Pod's video output is transmitted via Ethernet to the converter. A standard cable connects the pod to the converter's Ethernet input. The converter's Micro-HDMI output is then connected to a monitor. Gimbal power input is also shown.
2.2 HM30 Ground Unit Outputs HDMI Video through Ethernet to HDMI Converter
This diagram shows the setup for an HM30 Ground Unit. The ground unit's video output is sent via Ethernet to the SIYI Ethernet to HDMI Converter. A standard cable connects the HM30 Ground Unit to the converter's Ethernet input. The converter's Micro-HDMI output is connected to an HDMI Monitor.
3 How to Configure the Module
The SIYI Ethernet to HDMI converter can be configured through an SD card, similar to firmware upgrades.
? Mark: It is suggested to format the SD card to FAT32 before firmware upgrade. It is suggested to insert the SD card into the converter and run it for a while; you will then see the files related to module configuration.
The two ".txt" files in the root directory of the SD card are used for checking and changing module configuration:
- "curip.txt": For checking the current IP addresses.
- "setip.txt": For customers to change IP addresses.
3.1 IP Addresses
3.1.1 Check IP Addresses
Open the "curip.txt" file. You will see the current IP addresses and gateway of the AI tracking module. The file typically shows:
[NET_CONFIG] IP = 192.168.144.50 GATEWAY = 192.168.144.12
"192.168.144.50" is the factory default module IP address. "192.168.144.12" is the factory default module gateway.
3.1.2 Change IP Addresses
Open the "setip.txt" file and input the desired IP addresses after "IP = ". For example:
*setip - Notepad [NET_CONFIG] IP = 192.168.144.26
Then, insert the SD card into the module and power it on. After three to five minutes, the new IP addresses will be flashed into the module. Restart the module to finish changing the IP addresses.
? Mark: When using the converter with SIYI gimbals and SIYI links, please configure its IP addresses within the "192.168.144.X" range and avoid conflicting with their existing IP addresses. Please refer to the "Common IP Addresses" chapter in this manual for details.
3.2 Configuration
3.2.1 Check Converter Configuration
Open the "curip.txt" file. You will see the current configuration of the converter. The file typically shows:
[Protocol] ProtocolType = 1 RtspAddress = rtsp://192.168.144.25:8554/main.264 SiyiAddress = 192.168.144.25 SiyiPort = 37256 OsdShow = 1
- ProtocolType = 1: Indicates the current streaming type (0 = SIYI protocol, 1 = RTSP stream).
- RtspAddress = rtsp://192.168.144.25:8554/main.264: Indicates the current stream source's RTSP addresses.
- SiyiAddress = 192.168.144.25: Indicates the current stream source's SIYI protocol IP addresses.
- SiyiPort = 37256: Indicates the current stream source's SIYI client port number.
- OsdShow = 1: Indicates the current OSD displaying status (0 = OFF, 1 = ON).
3.2.2 Make Converter Configuration
Open the "setip.txt" file and input your required parameters after the relevant configurations. For example:
[Protocol] ProtocolType = RtspAddress = SiyiAddress = SiyiPort = OsdShow =
? Mark: Configuring the converter does not require restarting it. When the converter is working, parameters will be automatically flashed in after inserting the Micro-SD card.
3.3 Firmware Upgrade
3.3.1 Check Firmware Version
Open the "curip.txt" file. You will see the current firmware version of the AI tracking module. The file typically shows:
[FW_VERSION] Version = 0.1.11
3.3.2 Firmware Upgrade Steps
Before upgrading, it is necessary to prepare the tools, software, and firmware as listed below:
- SD / TF card
- SIYI Ethernet to HDMI Converter Firmware
? Mark: Customers should prepare the above tools.
Above tools can be downloaded from the "Downloads" page on the SIYI official website (siyi.biz/en).
Steps:
- Save the module firmware's ".bin" file to the SD / TF card's root directory and do not change the file name. (Example file:
SIYI_LanToHDMI_UpgradeSD.bin
) - Insert the SD card with the saved firmware into the converter and power it on.
- Wait for three to five minutes. The camera firmware will be flashed automatically and disappear from the SD card.
- Restart the module to make the configuration work.
