This involves attaching specific parts using the provided hardware, typically with quantities like '[Quantity 4]' for certain components and '[Quantity 1]' for others. A key/lock mechanism is also shown.
Step 2: Select Language
The instructions are provided in multiple languages. Choose the language most suitable for you.
Step 3: Clean Vehicle Roof
Ensure the vehicle's flush side railings are clean and dry before installation. Use a cleaning cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
Step 4: Fit Foot to Railing
Carefully place the foot pack onto the vehicle's flush side railing. The diagrams illustrate how the foot engages with the railing. Ensure the correct positioning and secure engagement. A visual indicates a recommended spacing of approximately 700 mm between roof rack feet.
[Warning] Ensure the foot is correctly seated to prevent damage or improper fit.
Step 5: Tighten Securing Screws
Tighten the screws alternately on each side of the foot pack. This ensures even pressure distribution. Follow the visual indicators for tightening: first to '[Percentage 50]' of the final tightness, then to '[Percentage 100]' at a torque of 6 Nm. This alternating tightening process is crucial for a secure and safe installation.
The instructions provide multilingual guidance on this step, emphasizing alternating tightening.
