Bubendorff Mono ID3 Solar Roller Shutter

An overview of the Mono ID3 roller shutter, featuring solar and hybrid motors, designed for easy installation and discreet integration, ideal for renovation projects.

Key Features and Benefits

The Mono ID3 roller shutter, equipped with solar and hybrid motors and a visible trunk, is designed for easy and discreet integration, making it an excellent choice for renovation projects. The ID3 range is exclusively for professionals, offered at a single price regardless of dimensions.

4 Good Reasons to Choose the Mono ID3:

  • More Brightness: With a height of 13cm or 16.5cm, this roller shutter maximizes light entry into your room. The box design features no visible screws for enhanced discretion.
  • Optimal Integration of the Solar Panel: The solar panel is seamlessly integrated into the shutter's box, ensuring a discreet appearance.
  • Easy to Install: The Mono ID3 is installed quickly and easily, as it requires no electrical connection work, thanks to its integrated battery.
  • Improved Comfort with Adjustable Slats Option: This option allows for natural ventilation and fine control over sunlight. It offers the benefits of concealment, security, and an adjustable sunshade.

Differences Compared to the ID+ Range:

  • Unlike the ID+ range, where the panel offset for the solar motor costs €44 for a Mono roller shutter, the PV offset for the ID3 range does not impact the final price.
  • The box features a rear cutaway, facilitating cable passage and simplifying motor connection.

Installation and Design

Unlike the Tradi ID3, the Mono ID3 roller shutter is installed externally, under the lintel and on the facade. The product is delivered with a protective aluminum box.

Characteristics of the Solar ID3 Roller Shutter:

  • Max width: 3000 mm
  • Max height: 2672 mm (Slide height: 300 mm to 2500 mm)
  • Bubendorff radio transmitter included.
  • Available in 8 standard apron shades and 10 frame shades.
  • Bubendorff offers a 3-year warranty covering parts, labor, and travel, including the battery and solar collector. Warranty extensions between 5 and 10 years are possible.
  • Two box sizes are available in two different shapes (1x20° and 2x20°), each with an embedded solar panel.
  • Apron slats are made of aluminum (dp368) and are adjustable.

Rules for Installing the Solar Collector:

  • Position the solar collector (PV panel) outdoors.
  • Clear any obstacles in front of the sensor, such as:
    • Glazing
    • Swing shutters
    • Other obstructions
  • In areas with heavy snow, positioning the vertical panel on the facade is mandatory.
  • For optimal control function, the sensor must be located near the shutter, on the same facade.

A side view shows measurements for b maxi = Ax2, A (height of PV panel top from ground/floor), and H (height to consider from ground/floor). A top view depicts clearances relative to walls or dense hedges. It notes that for direct sunlight, conditions A and H must be met.
