Important Notice 1. COOAU dash cam D30 adopts built-in super capacitor, which is only for emergency file back up and setting saving and has a longer service life than common battery. However, once the power supply is disconnected, the super capacitor won't provide constant power to support the normal operation of the camera. So, if you cut off the power, the camera will power off immediately, which is a normal situation. When you connect the cam to the power supply, the camera will automatically turn on and start recording. 2. The blue light is the power indicator and will remain on when the cam is turned on. The light will turn off when the camera is power off. The red light is the video indicator which will flash while the cam is recording and will turn off when video recording is paused. 3. If you turn on the camera for the first time or every time you restore the cam to default settings, it will jump directly into the settings, namely language setting, time setting and speed unit setting. If the micro SD card is not inserted, you will be reminded to insert a card. If the card is inserted, the cam will jump to an interface which prompt you to format the micro SD card. 4. Please format the Micro SD card to FAT32 in computer and then format it on dash cam before use; the Micro SD card should be formatted every 1-2 weeks to maintain good read/write performance. 5. The camera will automatically overwrite the locked files once the "emergency file" folder reaches 40% of the card capacity. PIP Inside Full Screen - The image captured by the front cam will be displayed in the upper left of the corner, while the image captured by the inside cam will be displayed in the full screen at the same time. G-Sensor: Off/Low/Medium/High (Default: off) 1. Once the G-sensor detects collision and vibration, it will lock the current video clips to the emergency files folder automatically. The locked files won't be overwritten by loop recording. So the important events will be saved and can be used as evidence. 2. The camera will overwrite the oldest event videos once the "emergency file" folder accumulates 40% of the card capacity. Please regularly transfer important videos to your PC or another storage location (e.g. external hard drive). To maintain good read/write performance, the micro SD card should be formatted every 1-2 weeks. 3. There are 3 levels of sensitivity: High, Medium, Low. We suggest you should choose medium because high sensitivity will lead to many unnecessary video clips saved as emergency file, thus affecting the normal recording. Motion Detection: Front camera /Inside camera (Default: off) Once the motion detection detects any movements in front of the lens within 2.5 meters, the camera will record 1-minute video clip automatically and save it in the "Normal Video" folder. The dash cam will power off automatically if there is no movement within 5 minutes. Note: 1. In order to make this function work, you need to keep the cam in the state of power on. You'd better connect your cam to external power supply. 2. Please remember not to turn on motion detection when you drive or the loop recording will be affected. Parking Mode: On/Off (Default: Off) 1. The parking mode will not be triggered when the camera is not connected to power supply. If you need to use the function, we suggest you hardwire your cam to car battery. 2. When the cam detects any collision or vibration, it will automatically turn on and record 30s locked video. If continuous movement (G-sensor, GPS speed, image change) is detected within 5 minutes, the camera will perform loop recording, otherwise it will power off automatically. Note: To use Parking Mode, you have to connect your cam to car battery by using a hardwire kit with a micro USB interface. The output current of the hardwire kit should be 5V/ 2.5A or 5V/ 2A. Auto Power Off: On/Off. (Default: Off) 1. Only when you connect your cam to external power supply, this function works. Because if you use the cigarette lighter as the power supply(The cigarette lighter provides power when you start your car and loses power when the engine stalls.), the cam will immediately turn off when the engine stalls. 2. If you hardwire your cam to car battery, the dash cam will record normally about 5 minutes after parking; 3. If the G-sensor, GPS speed, image have no changes, and the car is stationary for 5 minutes, the camera will power off automatically. Screen Saver: Off/30 Seconds/1 Minute (Default: Off). If you have no operation on the camera during the setting time, the screen will automatically go off. The LCD displays the time and the upper left corner displays the red dot . Screen saver will not affect the normal recording. You can press any button to return to recording interface. Speed Unit: KM/H MPH (Default: KM/H) This is to set the speed unit of your car.
