Installation

To install the Yeelight D2 lamp:

1. Insert the USB cable into the charging port located on the lamp.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a power adapter.
3. For proper operation, use a 5V/1A power adapter or higher.

Operation

Basic Functions

• Quick On/Off: Double-tap the lamp to quickly turn the light on or off. (Note: This function may be disabled by default in the app and requires activation.)
• Color/Temperature Adjustment: Swipe your finger across the touch-sensitive area to adjust the color temperature or color.
• Brightness Adjustment: Swipe your finger across the touch-sensitive area to adjust the brightness.
• Power On/Off: A single press of the button turns the lamp on or off.
• Switching Modes: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to switch between adjusting color temperature and brightness modes.

Important Note: If gesture control is enabled in the Yeelight app, the lamp may inadvertently turn on or off due to vibrations, collisions, or sound. If the lamp is placed in an environment prone to such external factors, it is recommended to disable gesture control.

Additional Functions

Night Mode

The night mode can be configured via the Yeelight application. When activated, the lamp automatically turns on with a dim night light. When night mode is inactive, the lamp operates with normal lighting. Night mode is disabled by default and requires activation within the app.

Connectivity

Connecting to the Yeelight App

1. Scan the QR code provided (or search for 'Yeelight' in your device's app store) to download and install the Yeelight application.
2. Ensure the lamp is powered on. Open the Yeelight app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up the lamp.
3. Verify that your WiFi network is functioning correctly and that both the Yeelight app and the device can connect to the internet. Please note that the device does not support 5G networks.

Control via Apple HomeKit

1. Open the 'Home' app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap the '+' icon and select 'Add Accessory'. Follow the instructions within the app. You can scan the QR code located on the device or manually enter the setup code.
3. Ensure your WiFi network is stable and that both the app and the device can connect to the internet. (The device does not support 5G networks).
4. It is recommended to use iOS 9 or a later version for optimal compatibility.

Entering the HomeKit setup code is necessary if you restore the device to factory settings. Apple is a registered trademark of Apple LLC.

Factory Reset

To reset the Yeelight D2 to factory settings, simultaneously press and hold the On/Off button and the brightness touch area. The lamp will cycle through red, green, and blue lights. Release the buttons when the blue light appears. Upon releasing the buttons, the factory settings will be restored. This procedure is necessary when connecting the lamp to a new WiFi network.

Battery Care

For LI-ION Batteries

The device is equipped with a LI-ION (lithium-ion) battery, which ages over time due to its physical and chemical properties. The manufacturer specifies the maximum operating time under laboratory conditions with optimal working conditions and a new, fully charged battery. Actual usage time may differ from the declared value and is not a product defect but a characteristic of the product. To maximize battery life, it is not recommended to discharge it below 3.18V or 15% of its total capacity. Lower values, such as 2.5V for a cell, can cause permanent damage and are not covered by warranty. If you stop using the battery or the entire device for more than one month, charge the battery to 50% and check its charge level every two months. Store the battery and device in a dry place, away from sunlight and freezing temperatures.

For LIPO Batteries

The device is equipped with a LI-PO (lithium-polymer) battery, which ages over time due to its physical and chemical properties.
