Use
Important Note: Standard wall outlets and engine preheater outlets, referred to as Schuko contacts, are not designed for charging electric vehicles. Their ability to handle recurring high load over longer periods is limited. To ensure safety, limit the charge to a maximum of 10 amperes (for use in Sweden) and 8 amperes (for use in Norway). Industrial Schuko contacts (IEC/EN 60309) are not affected by these limitations.
This charger should not be used with an ungrounded ("IT") electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is grounded and protected from rain and snow. The charging cable is suitable for outdoor use, but it is recommended to store the cable and perform charging under cover (e.g., a roof, carport, or garage). Replace the protective lid on the vehicle connector when the cable is not in use. For more information about safe and optimized charging of your electric car in a home environment, consult your local retailer or the National Electrical Safety Board.
Charging your vehicle
- Connect the power connector to a grounded wall outlet. The LED indicator will flash yellow, and the control box display will show "Mode select" and "Disconnected". The selected amperage will be shown below the display. (Visual indicators: MODE SELECT, 6A, 8A, 10A, 13A, DISCONNECTED)
- Press the Multifunction button multiple times to select the amperage suitable for your vehicle and wall outlet.
- Connect the vehicle connector to your vehicle's Type 2 charging connector. The LED indicator will turn solid green, and the control box display will show "EVSE ready" and "Connected". (Visual indicators: EVSE READY, CONNECTED)
Charging starts automatically as soon as the vehicle is identified by the charger. During charging, the control box display shows the current charging amperage, total effect used, and elapsed charging time, alternating.
When charging is completed, the display shows "End" along with a summary of the elapsed charging time and electricity used. Release the vehicle connector using your vehicle's charging connector controls. (Visual indicators: CHARGING, 00:30:00, END, 1.84 kWh, 01:00:00)
Note! Make sure to disconnect the charger from the vehicle before disconnecting it from the wall outlet.
Delay charging start time
Begin by setting the desired charging current.
To delay the charging start time, press and hold the Multifunction button for 5 seconds before connecting the charger to your vehicle. The control box display will show "Delay timer" and the set delay time (hh:mm:ss). Press the Multifunction button multiple times to add time (2-hour increments, up to 8 hours) to the countdown timer.
The charger saves the set delay timer. Connect the vehicle connector to your vehicle's charging connector. The timer on the control box display counts down from the set delay. Charging will start automatically when the timer reaches 00:00:00. (Visual indicators: DELAY TIMER, 02:00:00, 01:59:00)
To cancel a set delay timer, press and hold the Multifunction button for 5 seconds. The charger returns to standby mode.
Safety Information
Important! Follow this manual when using the device. Failure to follow instructions may endanger people or damage property. You must also follow the documentation regarding charging of your electric vehicle.
Before powering on, confirm that the device and wall outlet are properly grounded to avoid a hazard. In Swedish outlets, the charging current should be limited to 10 amperes; in Norwegian outlets, it should be limited to 8 amperes.
Keep the device away from moisture, water, high temperatures, sand, and direct sunlight. Protect the plug connectors and power sockets from humidity and moisture. Always keep the vehicle end coupling dry. Unplugged connectors are not waterproof. Always cover them with the protective caps when not in use.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified personnel to avoid hazard. Do not use this device with an extension cable or adapter.
If damage occurs while charging, disconnect the charging equipment immediately from the power mains, if possible, by switching off the mains fuse/circuit breaker. Do not touch any electrically live parts.
Never operate the device near explosive vapors or gases, as switching operations within the device can generate electric sparks. Never touch the contact surfaces of the charging equipment. Do not insert any objects into the charging equipment connectors.
Never attempt to disassemble the product. Repairs should only be performed by a qualified technician. By repairing it yourself, there is a risk of electric shock and/or short circuit. Do not plug the device into power outlets through which water could enter the device. Do not immerse the charging equipment in water.
Do not disconnect the device connectors while the device is electrically live (i.e., while charging a vehicle), as this can lead to destruction of the connector plug contacts and damage the charging electronics. Always stop the charging process first using your vehicle's charging controls.
Do not let the charger hang by the cable, as wear damage on the cable and contacts can become considerable since the cable and charger are heavy. You must support the weight of the charger and cable in a safe and stable way. For example, suspend the charger on a hook.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device. This is not a toy.
