User Manual
1. Power ON/OFF
Power ON: Toggle the switch to ON.
Power OFF: Toggle the switch to OFF.
2. Pair KB05111 with a Surface Pro
- Step 1: For the first time you pair KB05111 with a Surface Pro, toggle the switch on the KB05111 to "ON". The keyboard will enter Bluetooth pairing mode automatically. Alternatively, hold the Fn + Esc keys simultaneously for 3 seconds; the blue indicator will flash to show it's in pairing mode.
- Step 2: On the Surface Pro, navigate to All Settings - Devices - Add Bluetooth or Other Device - Bluetooth. "Inateck KB05111" will appear as an available device.
- Step 3: Select "Inateck KB05111" on the Surface Pro.
- Step 4: When the blue indicator stays on, the KB05111 is successfully paired with the Surface Pro.
Note: If the KB05111 does not work despite the blue indicator being on, it may have been paired with another nearby computer. Follow the steps in "Troubleshooting in Bluetooth Pairing" to resolve this.
3. Troubleshooting in Bluetooth Pairing
- Step 1: Delete all Bluetooth pairing records related to KB05111 on the Surface Pro.
- Step 2: Hold Fn + Esc keys simultaneously for 5 seconds. All 3 indicators will flash 3 times, and then the blue indicator will flash, indicating the keyboard has entered Bluetooth pairing mode. Re-pair the keyboard with the Surface Pro.
4. LED Indicator

Note: "Flashing" means the light flashes 3 times per second.
5. Keyboard Backlight
- Press Fn + Esc simultaneously to adjust the backlight color. There are 7 colors available.
- Press Fn + Shift simultaneously to adjust the backlight brightness. There are 3 levels of brightness.
Notes:
- When the battery level is below 15%, the backlight turns off automatically.
- The backlight turns off automatically if the keyboard is idle for two minutes. Press any key to wake it up.
6. Function Keys
6.1. How to Use F1-F12
You can press the Fn + Esc keys to enable/disable the Fn lock. Pressing them again will unlock the Fn key. The keyboard disables the Fn key lock by default.
When Fn lock is enabled:
- Pressing a function key (e.g., F1) triggers its specific functionality.
- Pressing Fn + Esc dims the screen brightness.
- This applies to all F Keys (F1-F12).
When Fn lock is disabled (Default Status):
- Pressing Esc dims the screen brightness.
- Pressing Fn + Esc simultaneously uses the functionality owned by the F1 key.
6.2. Fn+Key Combinations
- Fn + Shift: Check the Battery Level
- Fn + Del: Turn on/off Touch Pad
- Fn + Esc: Enter Bluetooth Pairing Mode
- Fn + Esc: Enable/Disable Fn Lock
7. Restore Factory Setting
If you are unsure about your settings or encountering issues, you can restore the factory settings. Hold Fn + Esc keys simultaneously for 5 seconds.
Note: After a factory reset, all settings, including Bluetooth pairing, will revert to their original status.
8. Check Battery Level
When the KB05111 is not being charged, press Fn + Shift simultaneously to check the battery level.

9. Charging
When the battery level is below 20%, the red indicator will flash. Recharge the KB05111 promptly. The recommended charging voltage and current are 5V and 250mA, respectively. Connect the USB cable to a cellphone charger or a computer's USB port. The keyboard will be fully charged in approximately 4-5 hours.
Note: It is not recommended to charge the KB05111 with a fast charger.
10. Sleeping Mode
- When the KB05111 is idle for 2 minutes, its backlight turns off.
- When the KB05111 is idle for 2 hours, it enters deep sleep mode, disrupting the Bluetooth connection. The connection recovers when you press any key.
Notes:
- To wake the keyboard from sleep, press any key. Tapping the trackpad will not wake it up.
- For adjustments to the backlight timeout or sleep mode interval, contact customer service for potential firmware upgrades.
