Integration Methods
There are three main ways to integrate the AVer camera with OBS:

- Streaming Output
USB Connection
- If OBS software is not installed, install it and follow the prompts.
- Connect the AVer PTZ310/330 Camera to a USB port on your PC using the provided USB to Micro-USB cable. Verify that Windows recognizes the device in the "Device Manager" window.
- Open the OBS software. Navigate to the "Sources" display. Select the [+] icon to add a source, then choose "Video Capture Device".
- In the "Create/Select Source" dialog box, give the Video Source a name (e.g., "PTZ330") and select "OK".
- In the next window, select the PTZ330 as the video device.
- Select "Configure Video" to access controls for Video Processing (Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Sharpness) and Camera Control (Pan, Tilt, Zoom).
- Once configured, select "OK" to close the video properties, and then "OK" again to exit the dialog.
- The OBS Main page should now display the camera video as the PTZ330 USB Source in the preview window.
Recording
- To begin recording from OBS, select "Start Recording" under the "Controls" header.
- To end the recording, select "Stop Recording". By default, videos are saved to the "Videos" folder of the logged-in Windows user.
- To change default settings, select "Settings" under the "Controls" header. This window allows modification of the Recording Path, Recording Format, and other Streaming Properties.
RTSP Input to the OBS System
- Connect the PTZ310/330 camera via a Network RJ45 connection. Verify the camera's IP address to connect via a web browser. Use the remote control to access the "Menu" icon, navigate to "Network->DHCP-", and ensure DHCP is set to "On" to obtain an IP address. If using static IP addresses, verify DHCP is "Off" and the correct IP is set.
- With the IP address set, enter it into your Chrome browser (ensure it's on the same subnet). The camera's login page should appear.
- The default username and password are "administrator".
- The main login screen will display a "Live View" of the PTZ Camera.
- Navigate to "Video & Audio" settings. Verify either "Stream Only" or "USB + Streaming" is selected. Configure your Stream Video Output, Bitrate, and Framerate.
- Go to "Network" settings and set "RTSP Security" to "Off". You can re-enable it to "On" after streaming is complete.
- Return to OBS. Select the [+] icon under the "Sources" header and choose "Media Source".
- Select "Create new", give it a name (e.g., "RTSP PTZ330"), and select "OK". The new source will appear in the "Sources" display.
- In the "Properties for 'RTSP PTZ330'" window, de-select any default enabled/selected boxes.
- In the "Input" field, enter the RTSP feed syntax:
rtsp://Camera IP:554/live_st1
, replacing "Camera IP" with the actual IP address of the camera. - Select "OK". The camera video should now be visible in your OBS Preview display.
Streaming Output
To connect to a streaming service like YouTube, Twitch, or Facebook, follow these steps:
- Select "Settings" under the "Controls" header, then choose "Stream". The streaming settings window will appear.
- Select the desired "Service" (e.g., YouTube).
- Obtain your "Stream Key" from your streaming service account (e.g., YouTube's "Encoder Setup"). Copy the "Stream name/key" information. You might need to switch to "Classic view" on some platforms to find it.
- In OBS, go to the Stream Key section and paste the copied information into the provided field.
- Select "OK", then select "Start Streaming" under the "Controls" header.
- Monitor OBS for indicators like "Dropped Frames" (should be 0%), a LIVE counter, and a green status bar for kb/s, confirming the stream has begun.
- Verify the stream on your streaming service's Live Dashboard.
- To end the stream, select "Stop Streaming" from the "Controls" header. The "Dropped Frames" and "kb/s" information should disappear, indicating the stream has stopped.
- On your streaming service's Live Dashboard, verify that the stream status now shows "Offline".
