Features & Benefits
The LCD screen displays the following information, indicated by numbers 1 through 7:
- 1. Current Humidity: Displayed as a percentage, with an "OK" indicator for ideal levels.
- 2. Low Humidity Record: The lowest humidity percentage recorded over the past 24-36 hours.
- 3. Current Temperature: Displayed in Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C).
- 4. Low Temperature Record: The lowest temperature recorded over the past 24-36 hours.
- 5. Humidity Level Icon: A visual indicator showing a high, low, or ideal indoor humidity comfort level.
- 6. High Humidity Record: The highest humidity percentage recorded over the past 24-36 hours.
- 7. High Temperature Record: The highest temperature recorded over the past 24-36 hours.
Setup
Remove the protective film from the LCD screen by locating the tab and peeling it off.
Install or Replace Batteries
Batteries are required for operation. AcuRite recommends high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance. Heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
- Slide off the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 1 x AAA battery into the compartment, observing the polarity (+/-) diagram.
- Replace the battery cover.
Select Degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius
To choose between Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C) temperature units, press the "°C/°F" button on the back of the display.
Placement for Maximum Accuracy
AcuRite product sensors are sensitive to environmental conditions. Proper placement is crucial for accuracy and performance.
- Place the monitor in a dry area free of dirt and dust.
- To ensure accurate temperature measurement, position the monitor out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or vents.
- To ensure accurate humidity measurement, place the monitor away from humidity sources.
The monitor features a magnetic backing for mounting to metal surfaces. A detachable fold-out stand is provided for tabletop use.

Humidity Level Icon
The Humidity Level Icon provides an easy-to-understand indication of low, high, or ideal indoor humidity levels for your home and health. For more information, visit www.acurite.com/humidity-health.
High and Low Records
High and low readings are captured from three 12-hour blocks of time, starting when batteries are installed. The product then displays the highest and lowest readings from the past 24-36 hours.

Battery Disposal and Safety
Please dispose of old or defective batteries in an environmentally safe way and in accordance with your local laws and regulations.
Battery Safety:
- Clean battery contacts and device contacts before installation.
- Remove batteries from equipment not in use for extended periods.
- Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment.
- Promptly remove dead batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries properly. Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type recommended.
- DO NOT incinerate used batteries.
- DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire, as they may explode or leak.
- DO NOT mix old and new batteries or different battery types (alkaline/standard).
- DO NOT use rechargeable batteries.
- DO NOT recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- DO NOT short-circuit the supply terminals.
Limited 1-Year Warranty
AcuRite is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chaney Instrument Company. AcuRite provides the benefits and services set forth herein for AcuRite products. For Chaney products, Chaney provides the benefits and services.
AcuRite warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase, when properly installed and operated.
Any product proven to be defective within ONE YEAR of the sale date, under normal use and service, will be repaired or replaced at AcuRite's sole option. The purchaser is responsible for transportation costs and charges for returned goods. AcuRite disclaims responsibility for these costs.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from acts of nature, tampering, abuse, improper installation, or repairs/alterations by unauthorized representatives.
Remedy for warranty breach is limited to repair or replacement of the defective item. If repair or replacement is not feasible, AcuRite may refund the original purchase price.
THE ABOVE-DESCRIBED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE WARRANTY AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.
AcuRite expressly disclaims liability for special, consequential, or incidental damages arising in tort or contract from any warranty breach. Some states may not allow these limitations.
AcuRite further disclaims liability for personal injury relating to its products to the extent permitted by law. By accepting any AcuRite product, the purchaser assumes all liability for consequences arising from its use or misuse.
No person or entity is authorized to bind AcuRite to any other obligation or liability concerning the sale of its products, nor to modify or waive warranty terms unless done in writing and signed by an authorized agent.
AcuRite's liability for any claim related to its products, purchase, or use shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the product.
Applicability of Policy
This Return, Refund, and Warranty Policy applies only to purchases made in the United States and Canada. For purchases elsewhere, consult applicable country policies.
This policy applies only to the original purchaser. AcuRite does not offer return, refund, or warranty services for products bought used or from resale sites.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wisconsin. Disputes shall be brought in federal or State courts in Walworth County, Wisconsin, and the purchaser consents to jurisdiction within Wisconsin.
