How to Use
Installation
To ensure optimal performance, avoid placing the transmitter or receiver too close to metallic surfaces or metal/UPVC door frames, as this can reduce the operating range. Always test the functionality before final installation.
Receiver Installation
Plug the receiver into a power outlet, positioning it away from other electrical devices that might interfere with signal reception.
Positioning Guide: The diagram illustrates ideal placement for good signal reception versus poor reception. Factors like distance and metallic objects affect signal strength. The receiver includes a "Range Guide" indicating signal levels from High to Low.
Transmitter Installation
Clean the surface where the transmitter will be mounted.
Before permanent installation, test the placement of both the transmitter and receiver. Close all doors during the test. If the receiver does not sound, consult the troubleshooting section.
Use the provided double-sided adhesive pad to attach the transmitter to the wall.
Operation
Sound Adjustment
Use the volume control knob (labeled 5) to set the desired volume level (e.g., 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%).
Melody Selection
Press the ring tone button (labeled 6) to choose from 36 available melodies. The default "ding-dong ding-dong" melody will reset automatically if the receiver is unplugged and plugged back in.
Transmitter/Receiver Synchronization
To pair the transmitter and receiver:
- Press and hold the volume button (labeled 5) for 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes.
- Release button 5, then press the transmitter (labeled 1).
- The receiver will beep once and flash to confirm successful pairing.
The system automatically returns to normal mode after a few seconds. To pair multiple transmitters, repeat this process for each one. The chime has internal memory, so re-pairing after a power failure is not required.
