Introduction
The DDR series is a DIN Rail type DC-DC converter featuring DIN rail-type easy installation, ultra-slim width, 2:1 wide input voltage range, fanless design, and a wide operating temperature range of -40~+70°C (or -40~+80°C for DDR-480 series). It offers 4kVdc I/O isolation, 150% peak load capability, current sharing, DC OK signal, adjustable output voltage, and full protective functions.
This series supports various input options: 9~18V, 16.8~33.6V, 33.6~67.2V, and 67.2~154V, with output options of 12V, 24V, and 48V. It is suitable for industrial and railway control, security control, communication systems, and other fields. Applications include DC buck/boost regulators, increasing system insulation levels, and voltage drop compensation along cables.
Installation
- Always allow adequate ventilation clearances: 5mm on the left and right, 40mm above, and 20mm below the unit during operation to prevent overheating.
- The recommended mounting orientation is vertical, with input terminals at the bottom and output terminals at the top. Mounting orientations such as upside down, horizontal, or table-top are not permitted.
- Use copper wire only. Recommended wire specifications are provided in the table below. Note: 1. Current per wire should be de-rated to 80% when using 5 or more wires. 2. The maximum allowable wire cross-sectional area for the terminal of the SDR-75 is 12AWG/2.5 mm². Ensure all strands of stranded wire are securely inserted into the terminal connection. If multi-output terminals are present, ensure each contact is connected to prevent excessive current stress on a single contact.

Use wires that can withstand temperatures of at least 80°C, such as UL1007.
Recommended wire strapping length is 5mm (0.197”).
Recommended screwdriver is 4mm, slotted type.

Mounting Instruction:
Mount as shown in the figure below, with input terminals down. Other orientations may prevent sufficient cooling.
Admissible DIN rail: TS35/7.5 or TS35/15.
For rail fastening:
- Tilt the unit slightly rearwards.
- Fit the unit over the top hat rail.
- Slide it downward until it hits the stop.
- Press against the bottom for locking.

Warning / Caution !!
- Risk of electrical shock and energy hazard. All failures should be examined by a qualified technician. Do not remove the power supply case yourself.
- Risk of electric arcs and electric shock (danger to life). Connecting both the primary and secondary sides together is not allowed.
- Risk of burn hazard. Do not touch the unit during operation or shortly after disconnection.
- Risk of fire and short circuit. Protect openings from foreign objects or dripping liquids.
- Only install the unit in a pollution degree 2 environment (Note.1).
- Do not install the unit in places with high moisture or near water.
- Maximum operating temperature: 55°C for DDR-120 series, 50°C for DDR-240 series, and 60°C for DDR-480 series. Avoid installation in places with high ambient temperature or near fire sources.
- The FG [ground symbol ⏚] must be connected to PE (Protective Earth).
- Output current and output wattage must not exceed the rated values specified.
- Disconnect system from supply voltage: Before commencing any installation, maintenance, or modification work, disconnect your system from the supply voltage. Ensure inadvertent connection in the circuit is impossible.
- For continued protection against fire risk, replace fuses only with the same type and rating. (Original French: Pour ne pas compromettre la protection contre les risques d'incendie, remplacer par un fusible de même type et de mêmes caractéristiques nominales.)
Note.1: Pollution Degree 2 applies to environments with only non-conductive pollution that might temporarily become conductive due to occasional condensation. Generally refers to dry, well-ventilated locations, such as control cabinets.
