1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information to help you operate and maintain your Pride Jazzy Carbon power wheelchair, enhancing your daily convenience.

Please read and follow all instructions and warnings contained within this owner's manual.

This product is classified as Class II Equipment.

Refer to the Power Chair information label for specific details.

Do not remove the anti-tip wheels.

2. Safety Information and Precautions

⚠️ Warning! The armrests are not designed as transfer bars. Do not use them to transfer out of the chair, as this may cause damage to the product or injury to yourself.

Ensure cigarettes are fully extinguished to prevent fire hazards.

The unit operates in two modes: Locked and in drive mode, or Unlocked and in freewheel mode.

When changing between drive mode and freewheel mode, place the unit on level ground and stand to one side.

Contact your authorized service provider for any assistance or issues.

Please be aware that this product may contain lead and lead components, and may also contain lithium.

4. Assembly

To assemble the footrest, pull it forward.

Loosen the necessary components as indicated.

Ensure the armrest is securely locked into place.

Caution: The unit may roll by itself if not properly secured or if left unattended on inclines.

5. Operation

Powering On/Off

Press the power switch to turn the power on.

Joystick Control

When the joystick is in position A (as illustrated in Figure 10), the unit is in standby mode.

When all indicator bars are lit, move the joystick to position B to engage drive mode.

Charging the Battery

Connect the 3-pin metal plug of the charger into the 3-hole charger socket on the controller (refer to Figure 13).

Safety Belt

For your safety during travel, always fasten the safety belt when seated in the wheelchair. Snap the belt buckle until you hear a click (refer to Figure 14).

5.2 Charging Safety Precautions

✅ Mandatory! Read the battery charging instructions in this manual and in the manual supplied with the battery charger before charging the batteries.

⚠️ Warning! Explosive gases may be generated while charging the batteries. Keep the power chair and battery charger away from ignition sources such as flames or sparks, and ensure adequate ventilation when charging the batteries.

⚠️ Warning! Inspect the battery charger, wiring, and connectors for damage before each use. Contact your authorized provider if any damage is found.

⚠️ Warning! Do not attempt to open the battery charger case or battery case. If the battery charger is not working correctly, contact your authorized provider. If the charger has cooling slots, do not insert objects into them. The charger case may become hot during charging; avoid skin contact and do not place it on heat-sensitive surfaces.

⚠️ Warning! If your battery charger is not tested and approved for outdoor use, do not expose it to adverse weather conditions. If exposed, allow it to adjust to indoor environmental conditions before use. Refer to the battery charger manual for more information.

? Prohibited! Removal of the grounding prong can create an electrical hazard. Use an approved 3-pronged adapter if the outlet has only 2-pronged access.

? Prohibited! Never use an extension cord to plug in your battery charger. Plug the charger directly into a properly wired standard electrical outlet.

? Prohibited! Do not allow unsupervised children to play near the power chair while batteries are charging. It is recommended not to charge the batteries while the power chair is occupied.

6. Maintenance and Inspection

Perform regular inspections of the unit. Consider environmental conditions such as temperature (hot, cold) and moisture levels when scheduling maintenance.
