Important Safety Information
To ensure safe and proper installation and use of Lund branded products, please adhere to the following safety guidelines:
- Use only with Lund® branded products.
- Do not stand on running boards or brackets while the vehicle is in motion.
- Do not use brackets as a jacking point for the vehicle.
- Do not use the bracket system or running boards to fasten cargo.
- Periodically check all components for tightness.
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Read and understand all power tool operating instructions before use.
Contents and Preparation
This kit includes running boards, mounting brackets, and hardware. Please verify all parts against the contents list. Actual product may vary from illustrations. Extended/double cab kits may contain fewer parts.

- Grease Pencil

Preparation Before Installation:
- Park the vehicle on a clean, level surface. Ensure the vehicle is in park or in first gear for manual transmission models. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels.
- Unpack the kit and identify all parts according to the content descriptions.
- An assistant is recommended to help position the running boards correctly during installation.
Installation Steps
Follow these steps for a secure installation:
- Identify the four mounting locations on the driver's side rocker panel. Note which holes align with the running board brackets. Mark these holes with a grease pencil. For extended/double cab trucks, there are three mounting locations.
- Install a U-nut clip at any remaining hole locations that do not have a factory-installed nut.
- Align the running board brackets with the marked holes and factory nuts/U-nuts.
- Insert bolts with lock and flat washers through the top bracket holes and into the corresponding holes in the rocker panel. Do not tighten fully at this time.
- Repeat step 4 for the remaining bracket mounting locations, ensuring bolts with washers are used.
- Check the boards for final position and tighten all hardware to 18-20 lb-ft.
- Repeat steps 1-6 for the passenger side.
Inspection and Care
Inspection After Installation:
- Inspect all bolts and nuts to ensure proper tightness.
Care and Cleaning:
- Wash the running boards using only mild soap and a clean cloth.
- Do not use cleaning solvents of any kind.
