Cable TV Installer: Connect the cable ground to the building's grounding system.

Important: Place the TV on a firm, flat surface with adequate ventilation (1 inch top/side, 2 inches rear). Ensure the stand is secure to prevent tipping.

The power button does not completely shut off the TV; disconnect the power cord for full power off.

  12. Use only manufacturer-specified attachments/accessories.
  13. Use only with the specified cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. Use caution when moving carts.
  14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
  15. Ensure at least 2 inches of ventilation space from the wall and 1 inch from other surfaces. Do not block ventilation openings.
  16. Do not expose to external heat sources or high humidity.
  17. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations.
  18. Ground antenna/cable systems to protect against surges. See diagram for grounding example.

Battery CAUTION & Disposal Information

  1. Use alkaline-type batteries for best results.
  2. Do not mix battery types (alkaline, carbon-zinc, rechargeable).
  3. Always replace depleted batteries with two new batteries of the same brand and type. Never use damaged batteries.
  4. Do not use rechargeable batteries (Ni-Cd or Ni-MH).
  5. Risk of fire or explosion if battery is replaced with an incorrect type.

  7. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat (sunlight, fire).

Step 1: Set up your TV

Remove your TV from the box: Be careful, it's heavy!

To use the stand:

  1. Take the stand screws and cable covers out of the TV stands.
  2. Carefully remove the foam packaging. Leave the TV on the bottom foam packaging.
  3. Align the stands with the screw holes on the TV. Secure with stand screws. Stands can be installed at a higher or lower position.
  4. Route the cables and install cable covers.
  5. Stand installation is completed.

Note: Ensure the installation direction of the stand is correct. Remove the protective film after installation.

Warning (Stability Hazard): Never place a television in an unstable location. Ensure furniture can safely support the TV and is not overhanging the edge. Anchor furniture and TV if placing on tall furniture. Do not place TV on cloth materials between the TV and furniture. Educate children about climbing dangers. NEVER place items that encourage climbing on top of the TV or furniture. Route cords and cables to prevent tripping hazards.

Optional - To mount on a wall

Preparation: Ensure TV is not exposed to direct sunlight, heat, fire, or moisture.

  1. Remove the 4 screws from the back of the TV.
  2. Screw the VESA bracket onto the back cover with 4 VESA screws (purchased separately).
  3. Follow the wall mount instructions to hang the TV.
  4. Optional: Install cable clips.

If mounting to the wall, do not attach the stands.

For 98" Models: Purchase a VESA 600x500 wall mount (4 M8x16mm screws).

The VESA number indicates the mounting hole measurements (e.g., 200x200mm).

Your wall mount must support at least five times the TV's net weight.

Step 2: Power up

Connect the power cable to the TV and plug it into the wall outlet.

Power the TV remote by inserting the included batteries. Ensure correct polarity. Power Tip: Always replace depleted batteries with two new, same-brand batteries.

If your remote gets warm/hot, discontinue use and contact customer support.

Step 3: Grab your remote

The remote is designed for intuitive use. Key functions include:

Turning off the remote backlight: Press and hold SETTINGS + BACK for 3 seconds. Repeat to turn it back on.

Tip: Follow the on-screen guide to pair the remote with the TV when pressing the button for the first time.

Step 4: Get to know your TV

Let's Connect: Set up your TV using the Google Home app on an Android or iOS phone, or follow the on-screen instructions.

A Google Account, a TCL account, and a broadband internet connection are required for smart features.

Congratulations! Setup is complete. Personalize your Home screen, streaming apps, and enjoy your TV.

Key things to know: Paid subscriptions may be required for some streaming apps. Availability varies by country.

Troubleshooting

Cannot connect to wireless network (WiFi):

Problems connecting cable box or antenna:

Remote code for Universal/Cable box remote: Visit go.tcl.com/codes.

How to update Parental Control password: Go to Home screen > All settings > System > Parental Controls.

How to turn Text-to-Speech (TTS) on or off: Go to Home screen > All settings > System > Accessibility > TalkBack. Select Enable/Disable.

How to use voice control through the remote: In Google TV mode, press and hold HOME + OK. Keep remote within 3 ft. Speak towards the remote microphone when prompted.
