Device Overview
Front View
The front panel of the RUTX14 features several indicators and ports:
- WAN Type LEDs: Indicate the status of the WAN connection.
- SIM Needle: Used to eject the SIM card tray.
- Power Socket: Connection point for the power adapter.
- Power LED: Indicates the power status of the device.
- Reset Button: Used to reset the device to factory defaults or reboot.
- WiFi Band LEDs: Indicate the status of the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi bands.
- LAN Ethernet Ports: Four Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired network connections.
- WAN Ethernet Port: One Gigabit Ethernet port for the Wide Area Network connection.
- SIM Holders: Two slots for SIM cards.
- Mobile Network Type LEDs: Indicate the current mobile network technology (e.g., 3G, 4G).
- Mobile Signal Strength Indication LEDs: Show the strength of the cellular signal.
Back View
The back panel provides connectors for antennas and other peripherals:
- Mobile MAIN Antenna Connector: SMA male connector for the primary cellular antenna.
- Mobile AUX Antenna Connectors: Two SMA male connectors for auxiliary cellular antennas.
- GPS Antenna Connector: SMA male connector for the GPS antenna.
- Grounding Screw: For proper grounding of the device.
- WiFi Antenna Connectors: Two RP-SMA male connectors for WiFi antennas.
- Bluetooth Antenna Connector: RP-SMA male connector for the Bluetooth antenna.
- USB Port: For connecting external devices or storage.
Power Socket Pinout
The power socket pinout is as follows:
- Power / Red wire
- Input / Green wire
- Ground / Black wire
- Output / White wire
Hardware Installation
- Pull out the SIM needle from the front panel and use it to push the SIM holder button.
- Pull out the SIM holder.
- Insert your SIM card into the SIM holder.
- Slide the SIM holder back into the router.
- Attach all antennas to their respective connectors.
- Connect the power adapter to the device's power socket and plug the adapter into a power outlet.
- Connect to the device wirelessly using the SSID and password from the device information label, or use an Ethernet cable connected to a LAN port.
Login to Device
To access the router's Web interface (WebUI):
- Open your web browser and navigate to http://192.168.1.1.
- Enter the username and password provided on the device information label for authentication.
- Upon first login, you will be prompted to change your password for security. The new password must be at least 8 characters long, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a digit.
- After changing the password, the Configuration Wizard will launch to help set up main operating parameters.
- On the Overview page, check the Signal Strength indication. Adjust antennas or device location for optimal cellular performance.
Authentication Screen Example (Image A): Displays fields for username and password, with a "LOG IN" button.
Mobile Status Example (Image B): Shows connection status, signal strength (-50 dBm), state (Registered, 4G LTE), SIM card status (Ready), and data usage (Bytes received/sent).

**Higher gain antenna can be connected to compensate for cable attenuation when a cable is used. The user is responsible for the compliance with the legal regulations.
