1. Test Facilities
The tests were conducted by TÜV Rheinland (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. at their facility located in Taicang, Jiangsu, China. The test equipment used complies with CISPR 16-1 series standards.
2. General Product Information
Product Function and Intended Use: The equipment under test (EUT) is the SJÖSS USB Charger. Further details are available in the user's manual.
Ratings and System Details:
- Rated Input: AC 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz; Max. 1.6 A
- Output: Various voltage and current ratings including 5.0V/3.0A (15.0W) up to 20.0V/3.25A (65.0W), and PPS: 5.0-16.0V/3.0A (48.0W).
- Protection Class: II
Operation Mode: The EUT operates continuously with a matching load.
Highest Frequency: The highest frequency generated or used by the EUT is less than 108 MHz.
3. Test Set-up and Operation Modes
Configuration: The EUT was configured to achieve the highest possible emission level. Tests were performed according to the instructions for use.
Testing Sequence:
- Radiated emission tests: 2024-10-31 to 2024-11-05
- Conducted emission tests: 2024-10-30
Equipment and Cable Arrangement:
Conducted Emission Setup: The EUT was placed on a wooden support, 0.8m from the Artificial Mains Network (AMN). The AMN was connected to an EMI receiver and a computer. The power supply was connected to the AMN. The test was performed on both the phase and neutral lines. The test setup utilized a shielded room.
Radiated Emission Setup: The EUT was placed on a 0.8m high wooden table in a semi-anechoic chamber. The distance between the EUT and the receiving antenna was 3 meters. The table was rotated 360°, and the antenna height was varied from 1m to 4m to find maximum disturbance. Tests were performed with the antenna in horizontal and vertical polarizations.
Test Software: No special test software was used.
Auxiliary Equipment: A matching load was used for the USB port during testing.
Countermeasures: No special measures were employed to achieve EMC compliance.
4. Conformity Decision Rule
Compliance with limits is determined by directly comparing measurement results with limits, as measurement uncertainties are within acceptable ranges according to CISPR 16-4-2.
