3. Mounting and Dismounting

Mounting Mi Action Camera 4K:

a. Ensure your Handheld Gimbal is turned off before mounting. Insert the Mi Action Camera 4K into the camera holder.

b. Turn the fastener clockwise to fix the camera securely.

Dismounting Mi Action Camera 4K:

a. Ensure your Handheld Gimbal is turned off before dismounting.

b. Turn the fastener counterclockwise until it is loose, then remove the Mi Action Camera 4K.

Note: Do not remove the Mi Action Camera 4K until it is powered off.

4. Charging

Charge your Handheld Gimbal using the provided USB cable or other compatible data cables.

Notes:

• a. It is recommended to turn off your Handheld Gimbal before charging.
• b. For the first use, fully charge the battery with a 5V=2A power adapter. Charging time is approximately 4 hours.

5. Operating Instructions

Ensure that your Mi Action Camera 4K is properly connected to the Handheld Gimbal.

a. Turning on/Turning off

• Turning on: Press and hold the power button. The status indicator will turn on.
• Turning off: Press and hold the power button. The status indicator will turn off.

b. Button Function (Front View)

• Four-way Joystick: Move to adjust camera angles.
• Photo Button: Press to take photos in the current mode. Press and hold for 3 seconds to start charging the Mi Action Camera 4K. Press and hold again for 3 seconds to stop charging.
• Video/Power Button: Press and hold to turn on/off the Handheld Gimbal. Press to start shooting video in the current mode; press again to stop shooting video.

Note: When in the Gallery or Settings page, press the Photo or Video/Power button to return to the Preview page.

b. Button Function (Back View)

• Toggle Switch: Set the toggle to "[increase exposure symbol]" to increase exposure value. Set the toggle to "[decrease exposure symbol]" to decrease exposure value.
• Trigger Button: Used to control the camera's position. Press and hold to lock pan and pitch axis.

Note: Press and hold the Photo and Trigger buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter button lock mode. To unlock, press and hold both buttons again for 3 seconds.

c. Operating Modes

Vertical Mode:

This mode activates automatically when the handle is vertically placed at an angle of more than 30° to the ground.

• Trigger button: Double press to restore neutral position. Triple press to control the lens to face the four-way joystick. Press and hold to lock pan and pitch axis.
• Four-way joystick: Controls pan and pitch axis to follow the movement.

Horizontal Mode:

This mode activates automatically when the vertical handle leans to the left or right at an angle of less than 30° to the ground.

• Trigger button: Double press to restore neutral position. Triple press to rotate the lens clockwise by 90°. Press and hold to lock pitch axis.
• Four-way joystick: Controls pitch axis to follow the movement.

Upside-down Mode:

This mode activates automatically when the handle is placed upside down.

6. Quick Setup

Control your device and interact with other smart home devices using the Mi Home App.

a. Install Mi Home App

Scan the QR code or go to your device's app store to download and install the Mi Home app.

Follow the in-app instructions to add and connect your Mi Action Camera 4K to the gimbal.

8. Precaution

• a. Do not use the Action Camera Handheld Gimbal when the temperature is below 0°C, as battery capacity decreases tremendously in low-temperature conditions.
• b. The Action Camera Handheld Gimbal features overcurrent protection. The motor stops working when the device enters overcurrent protection mode and resumes working after double pressing the trigger button.
