Good to know

Tempered glass should be handled with care. A damaged edge or a scratched surface can cause the glass to break suddenly. Avoid collisions from the side, as this is where the glass is most vulnerable.

Safety

This furniture must be fixed to the wall with the enclosed wall fastener if placed on the floor. Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home (not included).

Customise your own BESTÅ

The BESTÅ system is designed to be adaptable and flexible, allowing you to select and arrange parts to suit your space, lifestyle, and taste. You can choose from a wide range of pre-designed BESTÅ combinations available in-store and on IKEA.sg. If you don't find a suitable combination or wish to customize one, use the BESTÅ storage planner. The planner enables you to experiment with frames, doors, shelves, knobs, and colors to create the perfect storage and media solution tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Once your combination is ready, the planner helps calculate the price and allows you to print or save a product list for in-store purchase or online ordering. Planning stations are available in the BESTÅ area of IKEA stores, or you can access the BESTÅ storage planner online via the Livingroom department on IKEA.sg.

Door and drawer solutions

Combine your own solution with doors and drawer fronts. For a wider range of BESTÅ door and drawer solutions, visit the BESTÅ planning tool at IKEA.sg. Always secure shelving units that are more than 64 cm in height to the wall.

Doors

Various door sizes are available, including 60x64 cm and 60x38 cm. Handles are sold separately.

Drawer fronts

Drawer fronts are available in sizes such as 60x38 cm and 60x26 cm.

Frames

Frames are available in various dimensions (Width x Depth x Height). Floor-standing furniture must be secured to the wall with the enclosed wall fastener. Different wall materials require different fixing devices, which are sold separately.

How to mount a frame on the wall

A suspension rail is needed to mount BESTÅ frames on a wall. The rail provides reinforcement and makes mounting easier and safer. It screws into wall studs, with multiple holes for alignment. Hang several frames next to each other at the same height using the included connector. Ensure at least 5 cm clearance between the top of the frame and the ceiling for mounting to the suspension rail.

BESTÅ suspension rail, silver-colour: 60 cm wide frames require 1 rail; 120 cm wide frames require 2 rails. The suspension rail cannot be used with BESTÅ TV benches. It is included in all wall-mounted combinations.

BESTÅ TV bench 120x40x38 cm: Can be placed on the floor or mounted on the wall. Requires 6 legs or 4 legs and 1 BESTÅ supporting leg. Max load (floor): 50 kg. Max load (wall-hung): depends on wall material. Available in White stained oak effect, Black-brown, White, Dark grey.

How to mount a TV bench on the wall

Fittings for wall mounting are included. Follow the assembly instructions. Fixing devices for the wall are not included and should be suitable for your wall type. Contact a specialized dealer for advice on fixing systems.

BESTÅ legs

BESTÅ legs elevate your BESTÅ combination, providing a light, airy look and making floor cleaning easier. Specific leg types and quantities are required for different BESTÅ units (frames, TV benches).

STUBBARP leg, height 10 cm, 2-pack: Allows connection of two frames with one leg between them for a cleaner look. Available in White stained oak effect, Black-brown, White, Dark grey.
MEJARP leg, 10 cm, 2-pack: Similar to STUBBARP, allowing connection of two frames. Available in Birch.
ÖSARP leg, 10 cm, 2-pack: Allows connection of two frames. Available in Stainless steel colour.
BESTÅ supporting leg, height 10 cm, 1 pc: Mounts under BESTÅ frames/TV benches for stability without being visible from the front. Available in Grey.
KABBARP leg, height 10 cm, adjustable, 2-pack: Allows connection of two frames. Available in White.

Doors and drawer fronts keep your belongings hidden and dust-free. Various styles are available:

LAPPVIKEN: Doors (60x64 cm, 60x38 cm) and drawer fronts (60x26 cm) in White stained oak effect, Dark grey, White, Light grey-beige.
SELSVIKEN: Doors (60x64 cm, 60x38 cm) and drawer fronts (60x26 cm) in High-gloss black, High-gloss white, Patterned high-gloss brown.
HANVIKEN: Doors (60x64 cm, 60x38 cm) and drawer fronts (60x26 cm) in White.

Top panels

Top panels are available in tempered glass or natural wood veneer. Glass panels protect the top surface and offer a different look. Safety fittings are included.

BESTÅ drawer runner, soft closing: Ensures drawers close slowly, silently, and softly. Available as a 2-pack.
BESTÅ drawer runner, push open: Features integrated push openers for handle-free opening with a light push. Available as a 2-pack.
BESTÅ shelf: Available in 56x36 cm (max load 20 kg) and 56x16 cm (max load 13 kg) sizes. Fits BESTÅ shelf units, 20 cm deep. Available in White stained oak effect, Black-brown, White, Dark grey, and Glass.
BESTÅ soft closing/push-open hinge: Hinges with both push-open and soft-closing functions for easy door operation. Available as a 2-pack.
UPPLEVA wall bracket, fixed: VESA compatible, fits most 37-55" flat screen TVs.

Enhance your BESTÅ system with integrated lighting. Options include conventional or connected IKEA smart lighting.

MYRVARV LED flexible lighting strip: Suitable for confined spaces like cabinets and bookshelves. Emits low heat. Can be wirelessly dimmed and controlled via the IKEA Home smart app when connected with TRÅDFRI driver, power supply cord, and wireless dimmer. TRÅDFRI gateway enables control via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, or Google Home. Available in 2m, 12W.
TVÄRDRAG cabinet lighting: Features a traditional expression and a metal shade for direct light. The lamp head can be angled. Provides focused light for smaller areas. Can be dimmed wirelessly. The bracket allows for sliding. Attaches with screws or double-sided adhesive tape. LED light source consumes up to 85% less energy and lasts 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Can be controlled with ANSLUTA driver for on/off, or TRÅDFRI driver and remote for dimming. Available in Black.
YTBERG cabinet lighting: Slim design, suitable for limited spaces. Features a flexible gooseneck arm that can be bent and angled for directed light. Spreads a soft light for a cozy atmosphere. Bracket allows sliding. Attaches with screws or double-sided adhesive tape. LED light source is energy-efficient.
