Familiarize yourself with the components of your Polaroid Wave camera:

Inserting a Memory Card
Before powering on your camera, insert a Micro SD memory card (Class 4 or higher, up to 64GB) into the memory card slot (14). The memory card is essential for storing photos and videos.
Charging Your Camera
Your camera features a built-in lithium-ion battery. To charge it:
- Connect the Micro USB end of the included USB cable to the Micro USB port (13) on your camera.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a computer's USB port or a suitable 5V / 1A USB charging adapter (adapter not included).
A charging indicator light (8) will illuminate during charging and turn off upon completion.
Turning On Your Camera
Press and hold the Power / OK button (1) for approximately 3-4 seconds to power the camera on or off.
If the camera freezes, press and hold the Power / OK button (1) for approximately 6-7 seconds to restart it.
Changing Modes
Once the camera is powered on, press the Mode / Menu button (9) repeatedly to cycle through the camera's modes:
- Photo Capture Mode: For capturing still photos. ?
- Video Capture Mode: For recording video. ▶️
- Playback Mode: For reviewing photos and videos. ?️
Photo Capture Mode
This is the default mode when you turn on the camera. Use it to take photos.
Press the Power / OK button (1) or the Shutter release (2) to capture a photo. Photos are automatically saved to the Micro SD memory card.
Photo Capture Mode Settings
While in Photo Capture Mode, press and hold the Mode / Menu button (9) for 2-3 seconds to access the Photo Capture Mode Settings Menu.
Navigate to 'Camera settings' and press the Power / OK button (1).
Adjustable settings include:
- Flash settings: Control the LED flash light for low-light conditions.
- Resolution settings: Determine the size and quality of your photos.
- Self timer: Set a delay before taking a photo.
- Burst mode: Capture three photos consecutively by pressing the Shutter release (2).
- Metering: Select presets for automatic light sensitivity adjustment.
- Auto review: Choose whether to view your photo immediately after shooting.
- White balance: Adjust color casts to ensure white objects appear white in your photos.
Video Capture Mode
To record video, press the Mode / Menu button (9) repeatedly after powering on the camera until you enter Video Capture Mode.
Press the Power / OK button (1) or the Shutter release (2) to start and stop recording. Videos are automatically saved to the Micro SD memory card.
Video Capture Mode Settings
While in Video Capture Mode, press and hold the Mode / Menu button (9) for 2-3 seconds to access the Video Capture Mode Settings Menu.
Navigate to 'Video settings' and press the Power / OK button (1).
Adjustable settings include:
- Metering: Select presets for automatic light sensitivity adjustment.
- White balance: Adjust color casts to ensure white objects appear white in your videos.
Playback Mode
To view your photos and videos, press the Mode / Menu button (9) repeatedly after powering on the camera until you enter Playback Mode.
Playback Mode Settings
While in Playback Mode, press and hold the Mode / Menu button (9) for 2-3 seconds to access the Playback Mode Settings Menu.
- Delete: Remove selected photos or videos.
- Gallery: View image thumbnails. Use the Zoom in (10) and Zoom out (11) buttons to navigate and select photos.
- Slide show: View your photos in a continuous sequence.
- Lock: Protect a photo or video from accidental deletion by locking it.
General System Settings
In Photo Capture or Video Capture Modes, press and hold the Mode / Menu button (9) for 2-3 seconds to access the General System Settings.
Navigate to 'System settings' and press the Power / OK button (1).
General settings available:
- Date and time: Set the camera's current date and time.
- Language: Select the language for the camera's display screen.
- Memory: Check the remaining space on your memory card.
- Reset and format: Restore camera settings to default and format the memory card. Formatting the memory card will erase all its contents.
Wifi Settings
In Photo Capture or Video Capture Modes, press and hold the Mode / Menu button (9) for 2-3 seconds to access the Wifi Settings Menu.
Navigate to 'Wifi settings' and press the Power / OK button (1) to turn the camera's Wifi ON.
To connect your device, follow the camera's on-screen instructions. Select the camera's Wifi network (e.g., PolaroidE50-XXX) on your device and enter the provided password. Note: While connected to the camera's Wifi, you will not have internet access.
Connect to the Polaroid Wave App
The Polaroid Wave app enables you to view your camera's live stream and access stored recordings directly from your mobile device.
- Download the Polaroid Wave app from the App Store® (for iOS devices) or the Google Play™ store (for Android™ devices).
- Connect your device to the camera's Wifi network. Then, open the Polaroid Wave app on your device.
Using the Polaroid Wave App
The app provides access to various camera functions and your media:
- Camera settings: Access camera configurations.
- Camera connection status: View the connection status between your device and the camera.
- Camera battery meter: Monitor the camera's battery level.
- Camera live view: See a real-time feed from the camera lens.
- Camera memory card gallery: Browse photos and videos stored on the camera's memory card.
- Zoom in / Zoom out buttons: Adjust zoom levels for viewing.
- Video capture mode / Photo capture mode: Switch between capture modes.
- Shutter release (for photo & video): Capture photos or start/stop video recording remotely.
Within the Camera memory card gallery, you can:
- Select / Cancel multiple images: Choose specific files.
- Share images: Share images (note: only downloaded images can be shared via the app).
- Delete images: Remove unwanted files.
- Download images: Transfer photos and videos to your device.

One Year Warranty
This warranty covers the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable. It applies to products failing to function properly under normal usage due to defects in material or workmanship. Your product will be repaired or replaced at no charge for parts or labor for one year.
What is not covered by warranty
This warranty does not cover damage or malfunctions resulting from non-defects in material or workmanship, or from non-normal use. This includes, but is not limited to, repairs by unauthorized parties, tampering, modification, or accidents.
Obtaining Warranty Service and Troubleshooting Information
Call 877-408-0033 or visit www.polaroid.com. To receive warranty service, the original consumer purchaser must contact Polaroid for problem determination and service procedures. Proof of purchase (bill of sale or receipted invoice) within the warranty period is required. Package and send defective products with a dated proof of purchase, a written explanation of the problem, and a valid return address to the authorized service center at your expense. Do not include other items or accessories. Products not covered by warranty will be returned unrepaired.
