Sockets: Labeled S1, S2, S3, with individual indicators below each.

Indicators: 'Individual Indicator' below each socket, and 'Surge Guard Indicator' for surge protection.

Control Areas: 'WiFi Individually Control' and a 'Power button'.

Installation

  1. Download and install the free TuyaSmart application from your smartphone's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Create an account following the on-screen instructions.
  2. Plug in the Mercury power strip. Enable Bluetooth on your smart device. With the TuyaSmart application running, press the power button on the unit for approximately 5 seconds until the LED indicator blinks rapidly.
  3. The app may auto-detect the power strip. If so, select "Go to add". If manual addition is required, click the blue cross icon in the top-right corner of the screen and select "Power Strip (Wi-Fi)" from the menu. (Refer to app interface examples for adding devices).
  4. Confirm your smart device's Wi-Fi connection and enter the password, then click 'next'. Note: The power strip is compatible only with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signals, not 5GHz.
  5. Once the app loads the power strip settings, you can rename the device by clicking the pencil icon ✏️ next to the heading and allocate it to a room by selecting from the available choices. (Refer to app interface for successful device addition).
  6. Select 'Done' to complete the setup.

Controlling using the Application

After setup, the main control screen allows independent control of all 3 sockets and all 3 together. Press the large switches to control sockets 1-3 individually; the switch surround will illuminate, and you will hear a click. The blue LED on the unit will also illuminate. The smaller Master switch controls all 3 sockets simultaneously.

Each socket has a pencil icon ✏️ next to its name to allow renaming. A clock icon ⏰ below each socket name accesses timer functions: Countdown, Schedule, Circulate, and Random, each offering different options for individual sockets.

The 'Relay Status' setting at the top determines the power strip's state after a power loss or surge shutdown. The default is 'off', meaning it remains off until manually reset.

Timer Functions

Countdown

Set sockets to turn on or off after a specified countdown duration. The countdown begins immediately after setting and enabling the function.

Schedule

Set sockets to turn on or off on specific days or blocks of days. Each scheduled time can be individually switched on or off using a slide switch icon.

Circulate

Set sockets to switch on and off repeatedly within a defined start and end time. For example, switching on and off every 11 minutes between 13:58 and 14:58.

Random

Set sockets to switch on and off at random times within a specified timeframe each day. The app splits the timeframe into two halves, switching on randomly in the first half (minus 2 minutes) and off in the second half (minus 2 minutes).

Connection to Voice Control Applications

The power strip can be connected to voice control applications like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung Smart Things.

Some applications automatically detect the power strip after adding it to TuyaSmart and will prompt for authorization. If not, navigate to the "Me" section of the TuyaSmart app and select the relevant voice assistant service or "Third-party services – More".

For Amazon Alexa: Tap "Skills" in the Alexa app, search for "TuyaSmart", and tap "Enable". Log in to your TuyaSmart account to link them.

For Google Home: Open the Google Home app, tap "Add device" in the Home Control section, select "TuyaSmart" from the list of available applications, and enter your TuyaSmart account details to complete the linking process.
