Internet connection mode: Connect the camera to the Internet via a Router or Switch. Users can then log in using a web browser.

Note: Avoid placing power and network cables where they can be easily touched to prevent signal instability and video quality degradation.

The computer must be on the same network segment as the camera's IP address. For example, if the camera's default IP is 192.168.5.163, segment 5 must be added to the computer's network configuration.

Steps for IP Configuration:

  1. Open the "Local Area Connection Properties" window on your computer.
  2. Select "Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)".
  3. Click "Properties" or double-click to open the "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties" window.
  4. Select "Advanced" to enter "Advanced TCP/IP Setting".
  5. Add the IP address and subnet mask. Click "Confirm" to save.

Note: The IP address being added must not conflict with existing addresses on other devices.

To verify the network segment addition, open the Command Prompt (cmd) and type `ping 192.168.5.26` (or the relevant IP). A successful reply indicates the segment is added correctly.

To verify network connection after camera self-check, open Command Prompt and type `ping 192.168.5.163` (the default IP). A normal network connection will show successful replies.

  • Focus version: V4.0.6 (2021-12-16)

Users can only view version information.

Update file:

Use "Browse..." to select an upgrade file. Click "Upgrade". The device will reboot automatically after a successful update. Ensure power and network connectivity during the process.

Note: After upgrading, it's recommended to restore factory defaults via web, recovery menu, or remote control shortcut (`* # 6`).

5) Restore factory setting

Click "Restore Factory Defaults" and choose "yes" or "no". The device will restart and restore factory settings.

6) Reboot

Click "Reboot" and choose "yes" or "no". The device will restart automatically.

3.2.7 Logout

Select "Yes" or "No" in the logout confirmation dialog to exit and return to the login interface.

3.2.8 Wireless Network

If the unit has a wireless module, configure via the "Wireless Network" page in "Network Configuration".

1) Network settings
  • Network interface enable: Enable to configure settings.
  • DHCP: Enable/disable automatic IP acquisition.
  • IP address: Set wireless IP (default 192.168.1.250). Cannot be in the same segment as the wired IP address.
  • Subnet Mask: Default 255.255.255.0.
  • Default Gateway: Default 192.168.1.1.
  • SSID: User-defined (default "test").
  • Encryption: Enable and set password.

Save settings. SSID and password must be correct for successful connection after reboot.

2) WiFi hot link

Click "search" to find Wi-Fi hotspots. Double-click a hotspot and enter the password to connect. A "successful connect" message indicates success.

3) Wireless WiFi login page

If DHCP is not enabled, enter the wireless IP address (default 192.168.1.250) in the browser to log in. If DHCP is enabled, obtain IP automatically and log in via the router/switch interface.

4. SERIAL COMMUNICATION CONTROL

The camera can be controlled via RS232/RS485 interface (VISCA). RS232C serial parameters:

Baud rate: 2400/4800/9600/115200 bits/sec; Start bit: 1; Data bits: 8; Stop bit: 1; Parity: None.

After power-on, the camera performs a self-test, moving left, then to the middle, then zooming in and out. If Preset 0 was saved, it returns to that position after initialization. Serial commands can then be used for control.

5. MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING

5.1 Camera Maintenance

  1. If the camera is not used for a long time, turn off the power adapter switch and unplug the AC plug.
  2. Use a soft cloth or tissue to clean the camera cover.
  3. Use a soft cloth to clean the lens. Use a mild cleanser if smeared. Avoid strong or corrosive cleansers.

5.2 Troubleshooting

1) No video output

  • Check if the camera power supply is connected and the power indicator is lit.
  • Verify if the machine performs self-inspection after restarting.
  • Check the DIP switch setting on the bottom for the normal operating mode.
  • Ensure the video output cable and display are functioning correctly.

2) No image sometimes

Check if the video output cable and video display are functioning correctly.

3) Image dithering when zoom-in or zoom-out

  • Check if the camera installation position is stable.
  • Ensure there is no shaking of the machine or nearby objects.

4) Remote controller can not work

  • Remote control address: Ensure it is set to 1. If factory defaults were restored, the address may need to be reset to 1.
  • Check if the remote controller battery is installed correctly or if it is low.
  • Verify the camera working mode is the normal operating mode.
  • Check if the menu is closed. Camera control via remote controller is only available after exiting the menu. If video is output via LAN, the menu may not display and will auto-exit after 30 seconds, allowing remote control.

5) Serial port can not work

  • Verify that the camera's serial device protocol, baud rate, and address are consistent.
  • Check if the control cable is connected properly.
  • Ensure the camera is in the normal operating mode.

6) Web pages can not log in

  • Check if the camera is operating normally.
  • Verify the network cable connection (Ethernet port yellow light flashing indicates a normal connection).
  • Ensure your computer's network segment is correctly added and matches the camera's IP address segment.
  • Open Command Prompt (cmd) and type `ping 192.168.5.163`. A successful ping indicates a normal network connection.
