Product Introduction
IS10p Sub-Compact Point Source
The IS10p is a sub-compact point source enclosure designed with high output level and high clarity in mind. It has an unobtrusive visual design which blends seamlessly into the surrounding space. It contains two symmetrically arrayed 10" transducers and a 3" compression driver mounted on an Adamson waveguide.
Diagram Description (Page 4): Two line drawings of the IS10p speaker are shown. One depicts the front view, highlighting the hexagonal grille pattern covering the transducers. The other shows a side view, indicating the speaker's enclosure shape and mounting points.
The high frequency waveguide is rotateable in increments of 90°. The nominal dispersion pattern is 70° x 40° (HxV). A 100° x 50° high frequency waveguide is also available.
Adamson's use of proprietary technologies such as Advanced Cone Architecture give the IS10p an extremely high maximum SPL level of 139 dB.
The nominal impedance of the IS10p is 8 Ω per band, maximizing amplifier efficiency.
The operational frequency range of the IS10p is 60Hz to 18kHz, +/- 3 dB.
The IS10p is intended to be used as either a standalone system, or a fill enclosure in tandem with other IS-Series products. The IS10p is designed to pair easily and coherently with IS-Series subwoofers.
The wooden enclosure is made of marine grade birch plywood, and has a steel rigging system mounted on each side. Without sacrificing low resonance to composite material, the IS10p is able to maintain a low weight of 21 kg / 46.3 lbs.
The IS10p is designed for use with Lab.gruppen's D-Series line of installation amplifiers.
Wiring
The IS10p (models 963-0004/963-0006) comes with 2x Neutrik Speakon™ NL4 connections, wired in parallel.
The IS10pb (models 963-0005/963-0007) comes with an external barrier strip.
Pins 1+/- are connected to the 2x ND10-LM MF transducers, wired in parallel.
Pins 2+/- are connected to the NH3-8 HF transducer.
Diagram Description (Page 5): Two jackplate diagrams are shown. The "IS10p Jackplate" shows two Neutrik Speakon NL4 connectors, labeled for MF (+1/-1) and HF (+2/-2). The "IS10pb Jackplate" shows an external barrier strip with terminals for MF and HF connections. Below these, an internal wiring diagram illustrates how the parallel inputs are connected to the MF and HF transducers for both IS10p and IS10pb models (noting the IS10pb has only one input).
Amplification
The IS10p is paired with Lab.gruppen D-Series amplifiers. Maximum quantities per amplifier are shown below.
