Fast Charging DJI Drone Batteries

The DJI Power 1000 has SDC and SDC Lite ports, and the DJI Power 500 has an SDC Lite port. The power station can quickly charge compatible DJI Intelligent Flight Batteries using an SDC fast charging cable (sold separately).

Diagram Description: Shows the SDC port connection to DJI drone batteries (Matrice 30, Air 3, Mavic 3, Inspire 3).

Other SDC Output

The power station can also be used with other SDC cables (sold separately) to charge various devices via the SDC/SDC Lite ports.

Diagram Description: Shows connection of SDC cable to a car charger adapter (XT60).

DJI Power SDC to Car Charger Cable (12 V)

This cable allows the power station to charge car-powered devices, such as a car refrigerator.

DJI Power SDC to XT60 Cable (12 V)

This cable allows the power station to supply 12 V DC to devices with an XT60 port.

Charging the Power Station

AC Charging

The power station supports fast charging and standard AC charging modes.

Example for DJI Power 1000 AC Charging:

  1. Open the port cover and connect the DJI Power 1000 to an AC outlet using the included AC power cable.
  2. Use the charging mode switch to set the charging mode: Fast charging 1200 W or standard charging 600 W. For the DJI Power 500, the options are fast charging 540 W or standard charging 270 W.

Diagram Description: Shows connecting the AC cable to the DJI Power 1000 and selecting the charging mode.

Solar Charging

To charge the station's battery, connect it to solar panels using the DJI Power MPPT adapter or the DJI Power Car Power Outlet/SDC cable. Both accessories are sold separately.

Example for DJI Power 1000 Solar Charging:

  1. Unfold the solar panel, prop it up, and position it towards the sun. Adjust the support angle for optimal alignment. The panel surface should be perpendicular to the sunlight. Ensure the panel is not obstructed.
  2. Connect the solar panel using the XT60 cable to the solar panel adapter to begin charging.

Diagram Description: Shows unfolding and positioning a solar panel, and connecting it via an XT60 cable to the adapter.

Charging from Car

The DJI Power car outlet to SDC adapter allows connecting a car's cigarette lighter socket to the SDC port (or SDC Lite port) of the power station to charge it in a vehicle.

Diagram Description: Shows connecting the car charger adapter to the power station's SDC port.

Charging via USB-C

The DJI Power 500 can be charged using a USB Power Delivery charger connected to the USB-C port with a maximum charging power of 100 W. It also supports simultaneous charging from two USB-C ports with a maximum power of 200 W.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

The power station supports UPS functionality. Connect the power station to an AC outlet and then connect an external device, such as another power station. Press the AC output button once; a UPS icon will appear on the display. In this mode, the AC outlet powers both the power station and the connected device. The UPS function is enabled by default.

In case of a sudden power outage, the power station can automatically switch to battery power within 20 ms, allowing the connected device to maintain normal operation.

Diagram Description: Shows the power station connected to AC power and an external device, illustrating the UPS connection.

DJI Power 1000 Station Extensions

1/4" Screw Hole

The DJI Power 1000 is equipped with two 1/4" threaded holes that allow mounting the DJI Power MPPT solar panel adapter to the station as follows:

  1. Attach the adapter module to the power station as shown in Diagram A.
  2. Properly align the mounting holes in the brackets and attach the two adapter modules to the power station as shown in Diagram B.

You can also mount devices to the power station using 1/4" screws.

Diagram Description: Diagram A shows attaching the adapter module. Diagram B shows attaching two adapter modules to the station, highlighting the mounting holes and heat dissipation brackets.

Protective Storage Bag

The DJI Power 1000 comes with a protective storage bag. The bag protects the station from scratches and dust, and makes it easier to carry. Open the front of the bag to connect external devices to the power station, and store cables and accessories in the back. When using the protective bag with the DJI Power 1000, open the bag from both sides to avoid blocking ventilation openings and causing overheating.
