How to Use This Manual
The DJI Power 1000 and DJI Power 500 share similar functions and operating mechanisms. Unless otherwise stated, descriptions in this document use the DJI Power 1000 as an example and apply to both products.

Introduction
The DJI Power 1000 is a portable power station with a 1024 Wh capacity, weighing approximately 13 kg, and supporting a maximum output power of 2200 W. The DJI Power 500 is a portable power station with a 512 Wh capacity, weighing approximately 7.3 kg, and supporting a maximum output power of 1000 W.
The power stations offer fast charging and standard AC charging modes. In fast charging mode, the station can be charged to 80% in about 50 minutes and to 100% in about 70 minutes. In standard charging mode, which reduces noise and extends battery life, it can be charged to 100% in about 2 hours. The stations feature SDC/SDC Lite ports and can charge DJI Intelligent Flight Batteries and other devices using various DJI accessories.

Display Screen
Diagram Description: The display screen shows various information:
- 1. Displays the current charge level of the power station.
- 2. Displays the remaining usage time when the power station is charging external devices, or the remaining time required to fully charge the power station from its current level.
- 3. Battery level indicator: The indicator bar blinks sequentially while the power station is charging. The last bar blinks when the power station is charging external devices.
- 4. System Warnings:
- ERRB: Error code.
- Temperature Error: If the temperature is abnormal during fast charging, the temperature error icon blinks slowly. Actual charging power may be reduced to ensure battery cell life and safety. The icon stays lit if the temperature is too high or too low; wait for the temperature to return to normal.
- OVERLOAD: Overload warning.

- 12. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): If the power station is connected to an AC outlet and the AC output is used simultaneously, the UPS function is enabled by default. This feature may not be available in all regions.

Powering On and Off
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button for at least two seconds. The display screen will turn on automatically after powering on.
- Display On/Off: After powering on, press the power button once to turn the display screen on or off.

Charging External Devices
AC Output
The power station has two AC output ports. Connect an external device to an AC output port and press the AC output button.

For energy saving, the power station features automatic AC output shutdown and automatic station shutdown.
- Automatic AC Output Shutdown: Press the AC output button to enable AC output. The AC output indicator will blink slowly. The output will automatically turn off if the station does not charge any device via the output ports for 30 minutes.
- Continuous AC Output: Press and hold the AC output button to enable output. The indicator will light up continuously. The output will not be automatically turned off. This allows continuous AC power supply to external devices that turn on intermittently, such as refrigerators.
- Automatic Shutdown at Low Output: When the AC output is off, the power station will automatically shut down after one hour of no device charging.
When charging the station's battery, the operating frequency is automatically adjusted to the AC input frequency. To manually switch the AC output frequency, disconnect the power station from the AC outlet, then press and hold the AC output button for 10 seconds.
- Internal electronic components are coated with a waterproof layer.
- A slight characteristic smell may occur with high power output. This smell will gradually dissipate with regular use.
USB Output
The power station has two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports. Connect external devices for power via USB-A or USB-C ports.

Fast Charging DJI Drone Batteries
The DJI Power 1000 has SDC and SDC Lite ports, and the DJI Power 500 has an SDC Lite port. The power station can quickly charge compatible DJI Intelligent Flight Batteries using an SDC fast charging cable (sold separately).

Other SDC Output
The power station can also be used with other SDC cables (sold separately) to charge various devices via the SDC/SDC Lite ports.

DJI Power SDC to Car Charger Cable (12 V)
This cable allows the power station to charge car-powered devices, such as a car refrigerator.
- Ensure the external device is compatible with the cable specifications (13.6 V, 10 A, 136 W).
DJI Power SDC to XT60 Cable (12 V)
This cable allows the power station to supply 12 V DC to devices with an XT60 port.
- WARNING: Do NOT connect the DJI Power SDC to XT60 cable directly to a lithium battery with an XT60 port. First, connect the power station to a balanced charger.
Charging the Power Station
AC Charging
The power station supports fast charging and standard AC charging modes.
- Fast Charging: Higher charging power. Charges to 80% in about 50 minutes, and to 100% in about 70 minutes.
- Standard Charging: Lower charging power and less noise. Ideal for overnight charging, it can extend battery cell life. Charges to 100% in about 2 hours.
Example for DJI Power 1000 AC Charging:
- Open the port cover and connect the DJI Power 1000 to an AC outlet using the included AC power cable.
- Use the charging mode switch to set the charging mode: Fast charging 1200 W or standard charging 600 W. For the DJI Power 500, the options are fast charging 540 W or standard charging 270 W.

- Unplug the station from the outlet after charging is complete.
- Using standard charging mode is recommended to extend battery cell life.
- The power station prioritizes battery cell life. If charged in fast charging mode for five consecutive cycles, the sixth fast charge will automatically switch to standard charging mode for battery maintenance (approx. 20 minutes).
- If the temperature is abnormal during fast charging, the temperature error icon on the display blinks slowly. Actual charging power may be reduced to ensure battery cell life and safety.
Solar Charging
To charge the station's battery, connect it to solar panels using the DJI Power MPPT adapter or the DJI Power Car Power Outlet/SDC cable. Both accessories are sold separately.
Example for DJI Power 1000 Solar Charging:
- Unfold the solar panel, prop it up, and position it towards the sun. Adjust the support angle for optimal alignment. The panel surface should be perpendicular to the sunlight. Ensure the panel is not obstructed.
- Connect the solar panel using the XT60 cable to the solar panel adapter to begin charging.

- Follow the instructions for using solar panels. Do NOT connect different solar panels together, as this may damage the device.
- Up to three solar panels can be connected in parallel to the adapter (not in series). The DJI Power 1000 can connect up to two adapter modules and six solar panels. The DJI Power 500 can connect one adapter module and three solar panels.
- The SDC to car cigarette lighter socket cable (DJI Power Car Power Outlet/SDC) allows connecting one solar panel to charge the battery. The solar panel's current should not exceed 10 A, and its output power should not exceed 100 W.
- DJI recommends using authorized Zignes DJI solar panels. If using other solar panels, ensure they meet the following requirements to avoid damage to the adapter and station:
- a. Open circuit voltage is less than 30 V.
- b. Maximum current from a single panel does not exceed 10 A.
- c. If using more than one panel, the total power does not exceed 400 W.
- For the DJI Power 500, when using the SDC Lite port for solar charging, the maximum input power is limited to 300 W.
- During charging, place the power station away from direct sunlight to prevent overheating, which can cause damage.
- Prevent leaves and other objects from covering the solar panel surface. Placing the solar panel in a partially shaded area will affect energy generation efficiency and may cause overvoltage, potentially damaging components.
- To clean the solar panel, dampen a soft cloth with clean water and wipe the panel.
Charging from Car
The DJI Power car outlet to SDC adapter allows connecting a car's cigarette lighter socket to the SDC port (or SDC Lite port) of the power station to charge it in a vehicle.

- Ensure the voltage in the car's cigarette lighter socket is between 12-30 V, and the maximum input current does not exceed 8 A. Otherwise, it may cause malfunction or damage to the power station.
- Before charging, ensure the adapter is properly connected to the car's socket and the car engine is running.
Charging via USB-C
The DJI Power 500 can be charged using a USB Power Delivery charger connected to the USB-C port with a maximum charging power of 100 W. It also supports simultaneous charging from two USB-C ports with a maximum power of 200 W.
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
The power station supports UPS functionality. Connect the power station to an AC outlet and then connect an external device, such as another power station. Press the AC output button once; a UPS icon will appear on the display. In this mode, the AC outlet powers both the power station and the connected device. The UPS function is enabled by default.
In case of a sudden power outage, the power station can automatically switch to battery power within 20 ms, allowing the connected device to maintain normal operation.

- The power station supports only basic UPS functionality and does not support zero-delay switching. Do NOT connect the power station to devices that require a zero-delay UPS, such as medical equipment, data servers, or workstations storing critical data, as this may cause malfunction or data loss.
- This feature is not available in all regions. For more information, consult local regulations and ordinances.
DJI Power 1000 Station Extensions
1/4" Screw Hole
The DJI Power 1000 is equipped with two 1/4" threaded holes that allow mounting the DJI Power MPPT solar panel adapter to the station as follows:
- Attach the adapter module to the power station as shown in Diagram A.
- Properly align the mounting holes in the brackets and attach the two adapter modules to the power station as shown in Diagram B.
You can also mount devices to the power station using 1/4" screws.

Protective Storage Bag
The DJI Power 1000 comes with a protective storage bag. The bag protects the station from scratches and dust, and makes it easier to carry. Open the front of the bag to connect external devices to the power station, and store cables and accessories in the back. When using the protective bag with the DJI Power 1000, open the bag from both sides to avoid blocking ventilation openings and causing overheating.
Appendix
Firmware Update
The firmware of the DJI Power 1000 and DJI Power 500 can be updated using the DJI Assistant 2 (Power Series) software. Ensure your computer is connected to the internet during the firmware update. Follow these instructions for a successful firmware update:
- Turn off the device. Press and hold the AC output button and the power button, and wait for the LOAD message to appear on the display.
- Connect your computer to the indicated USB-C port, as shown in the diagram.
- If you are updating the firmware for a DJI Power 1000 with a rated voltage of 100 V or 120 V, connect the station to an AC outlet. Skip this step for other models.
- Launch the DJI Assistant 2 software, select your product, and click the firmware update button on the left side.
- Select the firmware version, read the on-screen prompts in DJI Assistant 2, and click the Update button. The firmware will be automatically downloaded and transferred to the device.

- The firmware will update automatically, and the progress will be displayed on the screen. Wait for the update process to complete. The device will restart automatically after the firmware update.
- During firmware update: Do NOT turn off or disconnect the device from the computer.
- For 100 V or 120 V DJI Power 1000 firmware updates, do NOT disconnect it from the AC outlet.
- If the firmware update fails, a "UPGD FAIL" message will appear. Disconnect the device from the computer and the outlet, press and hold the power button for five seconds to turn off the device, and try again.

Maintenance
- If the power station will be stored for an extended period, it is recommended to discharge it to 60%. Storing it at a low charge level may lead to over-discharge.
- Store the power station at temperatures between -10° to 45°C (14° to 113°F) in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Do NOT immerse the power station in water or in places where water may leak.
- Do NOT store a completely discharged power station for extended periods, as this may lead to over-discharge of the battery and damage its cells.
- Charge and discharge the power station every four months to maintain its performance: discharge the station to 15%, turn it off for over two hours, then charge it to 100% in standard charging mode.
- For ports with visible residue, clean them with a clean, dry cloth. Do NOT clean the power station with alcohol or other flammable solvents.

[1] Max continuous output is available when battery level is above 20%. AC output data depends on country/region. Japan's mains voltage is 100 V, so the max continuous output for the Japanese version is 2000 W.
[2] USB-C port supports max 140 W output. The charging device must support PD 3.1 and use an EPR compliant USB cable.
