Device Overview
The Sena WiFi Adapter for 50 Series is a compact device designed to connect your main unit to WiFi networks for firmware updates and other features.
Key components include:
- USB Connector: Used to connect the adapter to a power source.
- USB-C Connector: Used to connect the adapter to the main unit.
- LED Indicators: Provide visual feedback on the adapter's status.
- Pinhole Factory Reset Button: A small button for resetting the device to factory defaults.

Download the SENA MOTORCYCLES App to set up the WiFi Adapter and automatically upgrade your main unit.

Connection Setup
- Open the SENA MOTORCYCLES App.
- Tap the Menu button [menu icon] located in the top-right corner of the screen and select "Update via WiFi".
- Follow the instructions on the SENA MOTORCYCLES App to connect the WiFi Adapter to a WiFi access point.
To change the WiFi access point, you must first perform a Factory Reset and then repeat these connection steps.
Upgrading the Firmware of the Main Unit
Firmware upgrades occur automatically when the main unit is charging. For manual upgrades, adjust the relevant setting within the SENA MOTORCYCLES App.
Important: Do not disconnect the WiFi Adapter while a firmware upgrade is in progress, as this may result in product damage.

- ⚡ Charging (The main unit is powered on.) Note: To upgrade the firmware, ensure the main unit is powered off.

- ⚪ Disconnected from a WiFi access point

Powering On
To power on the WiFi Adapter, insert its USB Connector into a USB charger port that is connected to a power source.
1. The WiFi Adapter is compatible with any 3rd party USB charger rated at 5 V/1 A, provided it has received approval from FCC, CE, IC, or other relevant local authorities. 2. Avoid connecting the WiFi Adapter directly to a USB port on your personal computer.
Factory Reset
To restore the WiFi Adapter to its original factory default settings:
- Locate the pinhole on the back of the unit. Gently insert a paper clip into this hole.
- Press and hold the Pinhole Factory Reset Button for more than 1 second [hold 1s].
- Release the button.
The WiFi Adapter will automatically restart, indicated by all three LEDs illuminating.
Performing a factory reset will revert all settings, including WiFi configuration, firmware setup, and language preferences, to their default states.
Connecting to the Main Unit
Insert the USB-C Connector of the WiFi Adapter into the main unit's USB-C port.
If the main unit remains powered on during this connection, the charging LED on the WiFi Adapter will emit a slow red blinking light.
