QR Use Guide
This section details how to attach and detach the steering wheel using the MOZA Quick Release (QR) system.
Attaching the Wheel:
- Align the 6 ball bearings on the wheel's QR with the 6 notches on the base QR mount.
- Press the quick release onto the base mount, ensuring bearings and notches remain aligned.
- The quick release should automatically lock into place. If it does not, remove the wheel, recheck the alignment, and try again.
Detaching the Wheel:
- Squeeze the black quick release part (featuring the MOZA logo) towards the wheel with both hands.
- Pull the wheel away from the base simultaneously.
Steering Wheel Configuration
The MOZA KS Steering Wheel can be configured using the MOZA Pit House software. Key settings include:
- Clutch shifter paddle modes: Can be set to combined axis, independent axis, or buttons.
- Rotary encoder modes: Can be set to button or knob functionality.
- Joystick modes: Can be set to button or D-pad input.
- RPM indicator switch modes: Offers three options: RPM display, Off, or Constant.
- Indicator modes: Two modes are available (Mode 1 and Mode 2), with detailed explanations provided within the software when hovering over the options.
- RPM indicator timing: Allows selection between Early, Normal, Late, or Custom settings to synchronize with in-game RPM.
- Brightness: Adjusts the brightness of the RPM/shift LEDs.
- Button combinations: Users can view button input numbers and programming combinations by accessing the 'Button Combination Description' tab within the software.
Customizing LED Colors:
- RPM light color: Drag a color block onto the RPM light display in the software to change its colors.
- Changing button colors: To enter color setup mode, simultaneously push the left joystick to the right and the right joystick to the left, holding until the gear shift indicator light flashes yellow. In this mode, pressing each button cycles through its available colors. To exit, simultaneously push the left joystick right and the right joystick left again, holding until the RPM LEDs flash to confirm exit.
