What You'll Need for Setup

To control Wemo Stage, you will need:

• An iPhone or iPad
• A HomePod, Apple TV, or iPad configured as a home hub.
• Ensure all devices are running the latest software and operating system updates.

1. Adding Wemo Stage to Apple Home

1. Install the CR2032 battery into the controller, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing upwards.
2. Wait for the controller to enter setup mode, indicated by a blinking yellow and green status light.
3. Open the Apple Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
4. Hold your iPhone or iPad near the Wemo Stage controller and follow the on-screen prompts.
5. For iPhone X or older models, you may need to manually add Wemo Stage as an accessory by tapping the '+' icon in the Home app.

2. Creating Scenes

Scenes enable you to automate single or multiple smart devices with a single touch. To create scenes within the Home app:

1. In the Home app, tap the '+' icon to add a new scene.
2. Select a predefined scene name or create a custom name.
3. Add your smart devices (accessories) to the scene.
4. Configure actions for these accessories (e.g., turning a light on or off).

3. Assigning Scenes to Buttons

Each Wemo Stage button can trigger up to six different scenes, configurable for either a short press or a long press.

To assign scenes to buttons via the Home app:

1. From the list of accessories in the Home app, tap on your Wemo Stage.
2. Choose the specific button you wish to configure.
3. Select the desired press action: 'short press' or 'long press'.
4. Assign the scene you want the button to activate.

Example Scenes

• Bedtime: Position the Wemo Stage on your bedside table. Press the button to turn off all home lights and activate your security system before sleeping.
• Entertainment: Place the Wemo Stage on a coffee table. Press to dim lights and simultaneously turn on music or your TV for entertainment.
• Guest Room Control: Allow guests to easily control smart lights, fans, and blinds within their room.

Status Light Indicators

• Light Off: The device is working normally. Press any button to check status.
• Solid Green Light: Indicates a scene has been successfully triggered or the setup process has just been completed.
• Solid Yellow Light: Signals that the battery level is low.
• Blinking Yellow Light: Alerts that an error has occurred.
• Alternating Yellow and Green Lights: The device is ready for setup.

Installing or Changing the Battery

1. Carefully detach the cover from the back of the Wemo Stage controller.
2. Insert the CR2032 battery into its compartment, ensuring the positive (+) side is oriented upwards.
3. Securely reattach the back cover.

Troubleshooting and Support

Restarting the Device

If you encounter issues with setup or device control, try restarting the Wemo Stage by removing and re-inserting the battery.

Factory Restore

If restarting does not resolve the problem, perform a factory restore:

1. Press and hold the 'Restore' button for approximately 5 seconds.
2. Wait until the status light begins to blink yellow, then green, before releasing the button.
3. After the restore, re-add your Wemo Stage to the Apple Home app and reassign your scenes to the buttons.

Wall-Mounting Instructions

1. Select a wall surface and thoroughly clean it to ensure good adhesion.
2. Peel the protective backing from the adhesive strips located on the back of the mounting cradle.
3. Press the cradle firmly onto the cleaned wall surface.
4. Align and snap the faceplate onto the securely mounted cradle.
5. The Wemo Stage controller contains a magnet that will attach it to the wall mount.
