SECTION 8 – EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Exposure Standards:
- Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether: TWA 50 ppm (308 mg/m³)
- Isoparaffin C10-C11: TWA 300 ppm (manufacturer's recommendation)
- Isopropyl Alcohol: TWA 400 ppm (983 mg/m³), STEL 500 ppm (1230 mg/m³)
Engineering Controls: Provide good general ventilation. Keep separate from ignition sources.
Personal Protection: Avoid prolonged skin contact and avoid breathing vapours. Wash thoroughly after handling. DO NOT get into eyes. DO NOT swallow. Where many wipes are to be used consecutively, it may be advisable to wear solvent resistant gloves (e.g. nitrile rubber) and eye protection.

Vapour Density (Air=1): Not determined.
SECTION 10 – STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
Stability: Stable at room temperature.
Conditions to Avoid: Heat and ignition sources.
Incompatible Materials: Avoid contact with strong oxidising agents.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.
Hazardous Polymerisation: Will not occur.
SECTION 11 - TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Acute Effects:
- Swallowed: Not a likely route of exposure. If swallowing did occur, it may cause gastrointestinal irritation, dizziness, low blood pressure, kidney damage.
- Eye: May cause eye irritation by direct liquid contact with the eye. The vapour at room temperature will not be sufficient to cause any health problems. Soft contact lenses may concentrate irritants.
- Skin: Prolonged skin contact or repeated exposure is not likely to cause significant skin irritation unless there was a pre-existing skin disorder. Symptoms may include redness, drying and cracking.
- Inhaled: Not directly harmful if inhaled. Hot vapours or mists may cause upper respiratory tract irritation and asthma-like conditions.
Chronic Effects: Chronic or repeated exposure may cause conjunctivitis of the eye, respiratory tract irritation, and defatting of the skin, leading to irritation and dermatitis.
SECTION 12 – ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Environmental Issues: No environmental issues expected due to the small quantity of solvent contained in each wipe.
Persistence & Degradability: Not available.
