LANCOM 1793VA-4G+ Hardware Quick Reference

This document provides a quick reference for the hardware of the LANCOM 1793VA-4G+ device.

Device Overview and Connections

The LANCOM 1793VA-4G+ features a variety of ports for connectivity:

SIM Card Slot: Located on the device bottom. Release the holder, insert the SIM card, and secure the holder.

Mounting & Connecting

Power: Use only the supplied 12V DC external power adapter. Connect the cable and turn the bayonet connector 90° clockwise to secure it.

Reset Button: Use a paper clip to operate. A short press restarts the device; a long press resets it to factory defaults.

Interfaces
  • WAN: VDSL2 as per ITU G.993.2 (profiles 8a-35b), VDSL Supervectoring (Annex Q), VDSL vectoring (G.Vector). Compatible with Deutsche Telekom VDSL2 and U-R2. ADSL2+ over ISDN and POTS (Annex A/M, B/J). Supports one virtual connection in ATM.
  • ETH: 4 individual ports, 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, switch mode. Up to 3 ports can be operated as additional WAN ports. Ports can be electrically disabled.
  • 4G: Two SMA connectors for LTE/4G antennas. Compatible with LANCOM AirLancer antennas.
  • USB: USB 2.0 hi-speed host port for printers, serial devices, or USB drives (FAT file system).
  • ISDN 1: Internal (NT) or external (TE) ISDN bus. Controlled by LCOS. Connect to NTBA or ISDN terminal device.
  • ISDN 2: Internal (NT) ISDN bus. Connect ISDN device.
  • Analog 1-4: Connect analog devices using RJ11 or optional LANCOM Analog Adapter Set.
  • Config (Com)/V.24: Serial configuration interface/COM-port (8-pin mini-DIN): 9,600-115,200 baud. Supports optional analog/GPRS modems, internal COM-port server, and transparent asynchronous serial-data transfer via TCP.
