LANCOM 1793VA-4G+ Hardware Quick Reference
This document provides a quick reference for the hardware of the LANCOM 1793VA-4G+ device.
Device Overview and Connections
The LANCOM 1793VA-4G+ features a variety of ports for connectivity:
- LTE/4G Antennas (Ant 1, Ant 2): Connect the two supplied cellular antennas to these SMA connectors.
- VDSL/ADSL Interface: Connect to your provider's telephone socket using the supplied DSL cable for IP-based lines.
- Ethernet Interfaces (ETH 1-4): Use Ethernet cables to connect PCs or LAN switches. These are 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports.
- Analog Interfaces (Analog 1-4): Connect analog terminal devices using RJ11 connectors or optional TAE adapters.
- Configuration Interface (COM): Connect a serial configuration cable to this mini-DIN port for device configuration and monitoring.
- ISDN Interfaces (ISDN 1, ISDN 2): For connecting ISDN devices. ISDN 1 can be configured as internal (NT) or external (TE). ISDN 2 is for internal (NT) bus.
- USB Interface: Connect USB printers, USB memory sticks, or serial devices.
- DC 12V: Connect the supplied power adapter here. The bayonet connector secures the cable.
SIM Card Slot: Located on the device bottom. Release the holder, insert the SIM card, and secure the holder.
Mounting & Connecting
Power: Use only the supplied 12V DC external power adapter. Connect the cable and turn the bayonet connector 90° clockwise to secure it.
Reset Button: Use a paper clip to operate. A short press restarts the device; a long press resets it to factory defaults.
General Setup Recommendations:
- Ensure the power plug is accessible.
- Attach adhesive rubber footpads for desktop use.
- Do not place objects on top of the device.
- Keep ventilation slots clear.
- Use the supplied drilling template for wall mounting.
- Rack installation is possible with an optional LANCOM Rack Mount.
