Opel Mobile SmartKids Phone Operator's Manual
Safety Information
Welcome to Opel Mobile. For optimal performance, please read this manual carefully, paying close attention to the safety instructions. This will help you save time and enjoy all features of your device.
THIS MODEL MEETS INTERNATIONAL GUIDELINES FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES
Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver designed to comply with international guidelines for radio wave exposure. These guidelines, developed by ICNIRP, include safety margins for all individuals, regardless of age or health.
The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is used to measure radio wave exposure. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2 W/kg. The highest SAR value for this device when tested at the ear was 0.517 W/kg*. Devices can be used in other positions, such as body-worn, with the highest tested SAR value being 1.584 W/kg*.
Actual SAR values are typically lower than indicated due to automatic power level adjustments that ensure minimum power is used to reach the network.
The World Health Organization states that current scientific information does not indicate a need for special precautions when using mobile devices. Reducing exposure can be achieved by limiting call duration or using a hands-free device to keep the phone away from the head and body.
Additional information is available on the World Health Organization website.
*Tests are conducted according to international testing guidelines.
**For body-worn operation, this device has been tested and meets RF exposure guidelines when used with designated Opel Mobile accessories. Using other accessories may not ensure compliance.
