Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed:
- Read all instructions before using.
- Do not touch hot surfaces.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless closely supervised and instructed by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use, before assembling/disassembling parts, and before cleaning. Grasp the plug to unplug, never the cord.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after it malfunctions, is dropped, or damaged. Contact the manufacturer for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Use on a level surface, ensuring no debris is under the unit and the rubber wheels are touching the surface.
- Household use only. Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near hot gas or electric burners, or in a heated oven.
- Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
- Do not attempt to use the machine without water in the water tank.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug.
- A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risks of entanglement or tripping. Longer cords or extension cords may be used if care is exercised. Ensure the extension cord has the proper electrical rating and is arranged so it does not drape over surfaces where it can be pulled on or tripped over.
- Before serving, ensure the formula mixture is at a safe temperature for the baby.
- Avoid contact with moving parts. Never remove the powder container, powder container lid, funnel, or water tank while the machine is in operation.
- Do not disassemble or open the base of the machine.
