Adding Moes SMART IR+RF Remote

Download Smart Life APP
Download the "Smart Life" Application from Google Play or App Store.

Registration or Login
Enter the Register/Login interface. Tap "Register" to create an account using your phone number for a verification code and set a password. Choose "Log in" if you already have a Smart Life account.

Configure the APP to Moes Smart IR
Preparation: Ensure the device is connected to electricity. Ensure your phone is connected to a WIFI router and has internet access. Note: This device only supports 2.4G network. Disconnect 5G network if connected.
Tap the "+" icon at the top right corner. Select Device Type: tap "All" and choose "Infrared Universal Remote Control". The Add Device interface will appear.
Press and hold the reset button for at least 5 seconds until the network configuration indicator blinks. Press "Confirm indicator rapidly blink".
After the device is added successfully, it can be found on the "My Family" list.
Adding IR and RF Remotes
Add IR Remote
Choose your existing appliance and add its remote, such as Air conditioner, TV, STB, TV box, FAN (supports over 4000+ main brands).
Add RF Remote
Choose your existing appliances and add their remotes, such as RF switch, RF electric curtains, RF fan, RF roller blind, etc. (the quantity of added devices depends on the App).
You can also choose the "Copy button" function to learn functions if some appliances cannot be controlled.
Copy Button Operation
If you cannot find a remote that controls your appliance, you can learn its functions via the copy button. Notice: Currently, the copy button function only supports TV/STB/TV BOX/FAN, excluding Air conditioners.
- Click to enter the connected device.
- Click the edit button in the upper right corner.
- Select "Copy button" in the popup menu bar.
- Click the on/off button.
- Press the button on your original remote. The APP will automatically redirect to the next step.
- Finish copying one button. Press the related button on the APP to check if it works correctly. You can continuously copy more buttons or press "Done" in the upper right corner to save.
DIY OPERATION
If your IR appliance is not found in the existing appliance list, you can use the DIY function.
- Click the DIY button.
- Click "next step".
- Press your original remote button. The APP will automatically redirect to the next step.
- Rename the button.
- Save settings.
If you need to change or add more buttons, choose the "Edit" button in the upper right corner.
Notices
- Support learning of 38K carrier frequency. If you cannot receive instructions from the original remote, the main reason might be a mismatch in carrier frequency. In this case, you cannot learn the instruction.
- Ensure the MOES SMART IR receives instructions regularly. Please do not long-press the original remote to give instructions; a short press should be sufficient.
Voice Assistant Integration
Set your Echo speaker by Alexa
- If you have finished installing Smart Life, open the Amazon Alexa App. Sign in to your Alexa account and enter your password.
- Click the menu in the left corner, then click "Settings", and choose "Set up a new device" (select a device, like Echo). Note: When the setup page appears, long-press the small dot on your Echo device until the light turns yellow. Then click "Continue" on the App.
- Note: At this moment, the mobile phone cannot open a variety of VPN software.
- Choose your Wi-Fi and wait a few minutes. After an introduction video, click "next step". It will enter the Home page automatically. The Echo is now connected to Wi-Fi successfully.
Enable Smart Life Skill in Alexa App
- Choose "Skill" in the option bar, and then search "SMART Life" in the input box.
- Select Smart Life in the search results, and then click "Enable Skill".
- Input the username and password of the Smart Life APP that you previously registered.
Control the device by voice (Alexa)
After the above operations are successful, you can control the device via Echo.
- Discover Device: Say to Echo: "Echo (or Alexa), discover my devices." Echo will start finding devices added in the Smart Life APP. This takes about 20 seconds, after which Echo will report the result. You can also click "Discover devices" in the Alexa APP.
- Control Device by Voice: Note: The device name must be consistent with how it was added in the Smart Life APP. You can also group devices and issue commands to control them together. Note: "Echo" is one of the wake-up names; it can be any of the three names (Alexa, Echo, Amazon).

Google Assistant - Activate Smart Life in Google Home App
Preparation
- Have downloaded the Google Home App (compatible with Android 4.2+ or iOS 8.0+ smartphones or tablets).
- Have registered your Google Account.
- Have paired the device with the Smart Life App and named it with a recognizable name.
- Have finished setting up Google Home.
- Open the Google Home App. Tap the menu icon [menu symbol] on the upper left corner. Select "More Settings" to enter the next interface.
- Choose "Services" in the options bar and select "Smart Life" to enter the next interface.
- Tap "Link Account", then sign in to your Smart Life Account.
- Tap "Link Now". After your Smart Life account is linked to Google Assistant, the smart devices will automatically appear.
Command the Device through Your Voice (Google Assistant)
Say "OK Google, talk to Smart Life" to wake up Smart Life. Then you can control the device with commands like: "Turn on the [device name]" / "Turn off the [device name]".
Note: After Smart Life is awakened, you can say "Cancel" or "Stop" to exit Smart Life, or say "Nothing" when you hear "What can I do for you?". Then you can say "OK Google, talk to Smart Life" to start voice control.
Supported Commands (Google Assistant)
- AC: Hi Google, turn on/turn off the [device name]; Hi Google, set [device name] temperature to [**] degrees; Hi Google, make [device name] warmer/cooler.
- STB/TV: Hi Google, turn on/turn off the [device name].

- 1.1: Built-in Battery included?
- No built-in battery; needs to connect with power directly (USB line & Power adapter available).
- 1.2: 5G WiFi supportable?
- Only supports 2.4G WiFi; no 5G WiFi acceptable.
- 1.3: Does this IR universal work with an internal code library?
- The code library is kept in the cloud; you must connect to the internet.
- 2.1: Appliance compatible?
- Supports the majority of leading top brands including TV/STB/AC/DVD, as well as RF devices with 433/315MHz.
- 2.2: Brand Applicable?

- No, Infrared cannot go through walls.

- Moes Smart IR can control multiple appliances in one room through the "Smart Life" APP.

Troubleshooting Guide
Why MOES'S Smart Universal Remote can't control the appliance?
- Step 1: Make sure the network works well in Smart IR. (Touch any button on the smart app remote side; if the indicator light works fine, then the network is okay).
- Step 2: Check for obstacles between the remote and the appliance, within 8 meters.
- Step 3: Confirm if the original remote control is Infrared control. (Press the remote control after covering the remote control head with your hand or another object. If the appliance does not work, it is Infrared control. If it does not work, it should be Bluetooth or radio frequency control).
