Why MOES's Smart Universal Remote Can't Control the Appliance?

1. Network Check: Ensure the network works well in the Smart IR app. Test by touching any button on the app's remote side; if the indicator light works fine, the network is okay.
2. Obstacle Check: Verify there are no obstacles between the remote and the appliance within an 8-meter range.
3. Control Type Confirmation: Confirm the original remote control uses Infrared (IR). To test: point the remote at the appliance and block the remote's head with your hand or an object. If the appliance doesn't respond, it's IR control. If it still doesn't respond, it might be Bluetooth or radio frequency control.

Setup and Operation

Adding MOES Smart IR+RF Remote

1. Download App: Download the "Smart Life" app.
2. Register/Login: Create an account or log in.
3. Configure App: Add the MOES Smart IR device.
4. Add IR Remote:
   • Choose your existing appliance (e.g., Air conditioner, TV, STB, TV box, FAN) and add its remote. Supports over 4000 brands.
   • DIY Operation: If your IR appliance is not found, use the DIY function.
   • Copy Button Operation (for TV/STB/TV BOX/FAN, not AC):
     1. Enter the connected device interface.
     2. Click the "Edit" button (top right corner).
     3. Select "Copy button" from the menu.
     4. Click the "DIY button".
     5. Click "next step".
     6. Press your original remote button; the app will automatically proceed.
     7. Finish copying one button, then test it in the app.
     8. Rename the button and save settings.
     9. You can add more buttons or press "Done" to save.
5. Add RF Remote:
   • Choose your existing RF devices (e.g., RF switch, RF electric curtains, RF fan, RF roller blind).
   • You can also use the "Copy button" function if an appliance cannot be controlled directly.

Device Pairing Process (General Steps)

1. Preparation: Ensure the device is powered, and your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with internet access. Disconnect from 5GHz networks if connected.
2. Download App: Download the "Smart Life" application.
3. Register/Login: Create or log into your Smart Life account.
4. Add Device:
   • Tap the "+" icon (top right).
   • Select "Infrared Universal Remote Control" from the device list.
   • Press and hold the reset button for at least 5 seconds until the network indicator blinks rapidly.
   • In the app, press "Confirm indicator rapidly blink".
   • Choose your Wi-Fi network and password.
   • Wait for the device to be added.
5. Device Found: The added device will appear in the "My Family" list.

Setting up Echo Speaker with Alexa App

1. Enable Skill:
   • Open the Amazon Alexa app and log in.
   • Search for "Smart Life" in the Skills section and enable it.
   • Link your Smart Life account by entering your credentials.
2. Discover Devices:
   • Say, "Alexa, discover my devices" or use the "Discover devices" option in the Alexa app.
   • Alexa will find devices linked to your Smart Life account. Ensure device names are consistent.
