WARNING

CAUTION: Connecting the power cord

Most appliances recommend they be placed upon a dedicated circuit; that is, a single outlet circuit which powers only that appliance and has no additional outlets or branch circuits.

Do not overload wall outlets. Overloaded wall outlets, loose or damaged wall outlets, extension cords, frayed power cords, or damaged or cracked wire insulation are dangerous. Any of these conditions could result in electric shock or fire. Periodically examine the cord of your appliance, and if appearance indicates damage or deterioration, immediately discontinue use of the appliance until the cord is replaced with an exact replacement part by an authorized servicer.

Protect the power cord from physical or mechanical abuse, such as being twisted, kinked, pinched, closed in a door, or walked upon. Pay particular attention to plugs, wall outlets, and the point where the cord exits the appliance.

The MAINS plug is used as the disconnect device, and the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

Inputs

Input Type Description
Composite video input Composite video input. Video and YPbPr share one audio channel.
Component video input Component video input. Three cables ("Y," "Pb" and "Pr") provide a higher quality connection than the single-wire composite cable ("Y") commonly used.
HDMI Connect an HDMI cable between the HDMI port on the TV and the HDMI port on the DVD player/Set-Top Box. Ports marked 'ARC' also support Audio Return Channel.
USB 2.0 USB storage devices can be inserted to record and pause live TV in PVR mode, or to watch media files stored on device in media mode.
MICRO SD MICRO SD card storage devices can be inserted to record and pause live TV in PVR mode, or to watch media files stored on device in media mode.
ANT For free-to-air TV, use an antenna cable (not supplied) to connect to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket, or directly.
LAN For a wired internet connection via a broadband modem or router, connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port.
Digital audio out (optical) Audio out for digital audio devices. Port and cable may look different depending on an optical or coaxial input. Please use the cable appropriate for your device.
3.5mm audio out Line audio out port for use with headphones, amplifier, soundbar or any other audio device via an AUX cable (not supplied).

Assembly and Installation

Before You Get Started

Spread cushioning flat to lay the TV on. This will help to prevent damage.

1. Stand Assembly

  1. Attach first stand to base of TV, ensuring R and L stands are on the correct side. You can install either one first.
  2. Insert three 16mm screws and use a Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied) to tighten.
  3. Repeat these steps for the second stand.

2. Connect to Antenna

  1. Connect an antenna cable (not supplied) via the 'ANT' input port at the back of the TV.
  2. Ensure the antenna cable is also connected to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket in your home, or directly.

3. Turning TV On

  1. Plug the power cord into a suitable power outlet. The standby indicator will display a light, showing that the TV is receiving power.
  2. Press the POWER [power-symbol] button (either on your remote control or the lower side of the back panel on the TV, see page 8) to turn the TV on. The standby light will turn off when the TV is on.

TURNING TV OFF

Press the POWER [power-symbol] button on the remote control to enter standby mode. To power down the TV completely, unplug the power cord from the power outlet.

Do not leave your set in standby mode for long periods of time. If you will not use the TV for a long time, it is recommended to unplug the set from both the power outlet and aerial.

Remote Control Overview

The remote control has the following buttons:

  1. Power: Press to enter or exit standby mode.
  2. Google Assistant: Launch the built-in virtual assistant for voice commands.
  3. Mute: Toggle sound on/off.
  4. Media control buttons: Including play/pause, stop/record, previous, backward, next, and forward for use in Media mode.
  5. TEXT: Show/hide Teletext (Teletext not available in Australia or New Zealand).
  6. FAV: Open the Favourite Channel list.
  7. SUBTITLE: Toggle subtitle on/off.
  8. SOURCE: Displays the list of input source channels.
  9. NETFLIX: Open app homepage.
  10. YouTube: Open app homepage.
  11. Home: Access the home page.
  12. MENU: Display TV options with optional, adjustable settings.
  13. OK: Enter, select the current item or confirm selection.
  14. Direction buttons (▲/◀/▶/▼): Navigate menus and settings.
  15. BACK: Return to the previous menu.
  16. EXIT: Quit the current interface.
  17. INFO: Displays the current program information.
  18. VOL +/-: Adjust the volume up or down.
  19. CH +/-: Scroll channels.
  20. GUIDE: Displays the electronic program guide in DTV mode.
  21. Number buttons: Select channels or input passwords.
  22. CH.LIST: Displays the channel list in DTV mode.
  23. AUDIO: Select available languages and audio channels.
  24. Colour buttons: For navigational use within apps.

Using Remote Control / Power Button

1. Remote Control Assembly

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back side.
  2. Insert two 1.5V AAA size batteries, making sure to match the polarity markings (+ / -) of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment.
  3. Replace battery compartment cover.

2. Using Remote Control

Point the remote towards the sensor at the front of the TV (this may differ from the illustration). Ensure the distance between the remote control and the TV is no greater than 8 metres, at an angle of no more than 30 degrees on either side.

TIPS: Do not block the path between the sensor and the remote control.

3. Button Functions

First Time Setup

When turning the TV on for the first time, the Welcome screen will appear. Use the Direction and OK buttons to navigate the following options.

Bluetooth

Your Android TV remote control has Bluetooth capabilities. Follow the onscreen prompts to pair the remote with the TV, holding the Red and Blue colour buttons for 5 seconds, then select the remote from the accessory list and press OK. Your remote's LED light will flash while pairing. This will allow you to use voice commands with your remote via the Google Assistant button.

If the Bluetooth pairing process is skipped, refer to the Remotes & Accessories section of the Settings menu.

Pairing your Bluetooth remote control with your Android TV will enable your remote's Google Assistant voice control function.

Language

Select your menu language. This can be changed later in the global settings.

Quickly Set Up with Android Phone

If you have an Android smartphone, you can easily transfer your phone's Wi-Fi network and Google account to your TV. If not, select 'Skip'.

Select Wi-Fi Network

Your Android TV will automatically scan for wireless networks nearby. Ensure the TV is within range of your wireless modem or router, and have your password handy. Follow the prompts to input your password and connect your TV to your selected network.

If you prefer to connect an Ethernet cable to connect to the internet, simply insert the cable (not supplied) to the 'LAN' input port at the back of the TV (see page 5), and ensure that it is correctly connected to the internet.

Google Account Sign-in

Linking your Google Account to your Android TV will allow you to install new apps from the Play Store, as well as receive recommendations, movies, and more from Google.

Terms of Service

This page will allow you to read each of the Google Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Google Play Terms of Service in full, and to accept.

Location

Grant permission for your Android TV to detect your location. You can adjust these permissions at any time from Settings.

Help Improve Android

Grant permission for your Android TV to detect your location to automatically send diagnostic information to Google. Following this, you will be shown a brief overview of Android TV's features.

Country/Region

To ensure your TV is set up properly, select your country/region from the list.

Password

Set a default password.

Timezone

Select your region's time zone.

Select TV Mode

The 'home mode' is optimized for efficient usage for home use. The ‘retail mode’ is optimized for store Demo with fixed settings.

Chromecast

Let your TV be detected as a Google Cast device and allow Google Assistant and other services to wake the TV to respond to cast commands, even when in standby mode.

Basic Operation

Home Screen

After completing the wizard settings, you can watch TV and go to the home screen.

Input Source

  1. In the Home interface, press the Direction buttons to select the “Inputs” icon, press OK to open the input source list, then press up to highlight an input and press OK to switch.
  2. Under live TV, press the SOURCE button to display the list of input sources. You can select the desired source.

Navigating Menus

There are two ways to enter:

  1. First, in live TV, press the menu button to display TV options, press Direction buttons to select the settings menu and press OK to confirm.
  2. Second, in the Home interface, press the Menu icon key to select the icon of the circular settings menu, press OK to confirm.

After selecting an option, use the Direction buttons to select what you want set, then press OK to enter the setting. Press BACK to return to the previous menu. If the main menu is displayed, pressing BACK will close the on-screen menu.

Network

Select what you want to set, then press OK button to adjust. After finishing your adjustment, press OK button to save and return to the previous menu.

Channel

Channels: Display the scan sub-menu based on different channel installation modes.

Auto Channel Update: Press OK button to choose ON/OFF. When selecting ON, the system will automatically scan and update channels after 5 minutes of standby.

Parental Controls: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Audio Channel: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Open Source Licenses: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Antenna

  1. Menu > Settings > Channel > Channel Installation Mode: enter, choose Antenna.
  2. Enter Menu > Settings > Channel > Channels.

Channel Scan options include: Channel Scan, Update Scan, Analog Manual Scan, Single RF Scan, LCN Default.

Settings

Channel

Channel Scan: Directly enters the ATV+DTV automatic search platform interface of Antenna.

Update Scan: Re-automatically search for frequency points outside the station.

Analog Manual Scan: Manual ATV search station. After inputting the frequency point, you can select up or down to search station.

Single RF Scan: DTV manual search, left and right after selecting RF Channel, directly OK search.

Accounts & Sign in

Manage your Google account and sign-in details.

Apps

In this menu, you can set the App permissions, and read the app lists. Press Direction buttons to select what you want set, then press OK button to adjust. Press BACK button to return to the previous menu.

Device Preferences

About

In this menu, you can read the information and settings of the TV.

Information includes: System update, Device Name, Production Name, Restart, Status (Network, serial numbers, etc.), Legal information, Model, Version.

Date & Time

Automatic date & time: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Use network-provided time, Off).

NOTE: Manually adjusting date & time settings will automatically change the Automatic date & time to Off.

Set date: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Set time: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Set time Zone: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Use 24-hour format: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Timer

Power On Time Type: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF/ONCE.

Auto Power On Time: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Power Off Time Type: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF/ONCE.

Power Off Time: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Language

Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the select language.

Keyboard

Current keyboard: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Gboard settings: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Manage keyboards: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Inputs

Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

HDMI control: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Device auto power off: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

TV auto power on: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

HDMI EDID Version: Displays EDID Version.

CEC Device List: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Power

Sleep Timer: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Off, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, 50 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes).

Picture Off: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Switch Off Timer: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Off, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes, 150 minutes, 180 minutes, 210 minutes, 240 minutes).

No Signal Auto Power Off: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Off, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes).

Picture

Picture Mode: Press Direction buttons to select the option, then press Direction buttons to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: User, Standard, Vivid, Sport, Movie, Game, Energy saving).

Backlight/Brightness/Contrast/Saturation/HUE/Sharpness: Press Direction buttons to select the option, press Left [◀] to decrease the parameter. Press Right [▶] to increase the parameter.

Gamma: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Dark, Middle, Bright).

Color Temperature: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

HDR: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: On, Off).

Advanced Video: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Reset to Default: Reset all settings to the factory defaults.

Sound

Sound style: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: User, Standard, Vivid, Sports, Movie, Music, News).

Balance/Bass/Treble: Press Direction buttons to select the option. Press Left [◀] to decrease the parameter. Press Right [▶] to increase the parameter.

Sound Surround: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Equalizer Detail: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Speakers: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: TV Speaker, External Audio System).

Digital Output: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Auto, Bypass, PCM, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital).

Spdif Delay: Press Direction buttons to select the option. Press Left [◀] to decrease the parameter. Press Right [▶] to increase the parameter.

Auto Volume Control: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Downmix Mode: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Stereo, Surround).

Reset to Default: Reset all settings to the factory defaults.

Storage

Internal Shared Storage: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

Removable Storage: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Note: Show external devices if available).

Home Screen

In this menu, you can set channels, apps, open source licenses.

  1. Press Direction buttons to select what you want set.
  2. Press OK button to adjust.
  3. After finishing your adjustment, press BACK button to return to the previous menu.

Retail Mode

Retail Mode: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Retail Messaging: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Note: Demo video, e-POP left, e-POP bottom).

PQ Demo: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Note: Off, Left, Right).

Google Assistant

In this menu, you can set searchable apps, safe search filter, block offensive words, open source licenses.

  1. Press Direction buttons to select what you want set.
  2. Press OK button to adjust.
  3. After finishing your adjustment, press BACK button to return to the previous menu.

Chromecast Built-in

In this menu, you can read the information and settings of Chromecast.

  1. Press Direction buttons to select what you want set.
  2. Press OK button to adjust.
  3. After finishing your adjustment, press BACK button to return to the previous menu.

Screen Saver

Screen Saver: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Turn screen off, Backdrop, Colors).

When to Start: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours).

Put device to sleep: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, Never).

Start now: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter screen saver.

Location

Location status: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Optional: Use Wi-Fi to estimate location, Off).

Usage & Diagnostics

Usage & Diagnostics: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Accessibility

Audio Description: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Visually Impaired: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu. (Need: Audio Description ON).

Hearing Impaired: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Captions: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to enter the sub-menu.

High contrast text: Press Direction buttons to select the option then press OK button to choose ON/OFF.

Reset

Press OK button to enter the sub-menu. Reset: Erase everything.

Remote & Accessories

In this menu, you can pair Bluetooth devices.

  1. Press the "RED" and "BLUE" buttons at the bottom of the remote control for 5 seconds.
  2. When the LED starts to flash, release it. The remote controller will send the pairing signal to the TV and display the information for the remote control on the right side of the screen.
  3. Press the OK button to display the pairing. If "Paired" is displayed, the connection is successful.
  4. If "Couldn't pair" appears, the connection fails. Wait 30 seconds and then press the "RED" and "BLUE" buttons at the bottom of the remote control for 5 seconds to repeat the previous steps.
  5. Press BACK button to return to the previous menu.

PVR Mode

PVR (Personal Video Recorder)

To access the RECORDING menu (PVR):

  1. While watching Live TV, press "MENU" on the remote control.
  2. "TV Options" will appear. Press the "DOWN" arrow on the remote control to go to the "RECORD" menu.

IMPORTANT: You must have a USB Drive inserted into the USB Port of the TV to use any of these "RECORD" functions. (Must be FAT32 format)

Media Playback

In the Home interface, select the '+' icon in the APP column to add the application, and click OK. Press up and down to select the Multi Media Player application, and click OK to add it to the Home interface.

Select OK key to enter Multi Media Player and display Video, Photo, Audio. After inserting the USB flash drive, you can view the corresponding files in the USB flash drive.

Alongside flash drives, the TV's USB port is also capable of reading from devices such as digital cameras and USB hard disks. Recordings saved in PVR mode will also be playable.

Apps

Press the Home [home-icon] button on the remote to display the main interface. Use the directional buttons on your remote control to navigate through the pages, and press the OK button to launch a selected app. For Netflix and YouTube, you can launch the apps directly using the remote control hotkeys.

Netflix

Sign into your Netflix account to browse by genre, search for titles, manage your Instant Queue and review Netflix recommendations all from your TV. If you do not already have a Netflix account, you will need to sign up to use this feature. For more information, visit netflix.com.

YouTube

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Wall Mounting

Wall mount kit not included. Steps below are provided as an optional alternative to the supplied base-mounts.

Components for Mounting:

NOTE: Please refer to the actual product for the screw size.

5. Optional Wall-Mounting Installation

  1. Measure and double-check the distance of threaded holes on the back panel of the TV before creating any holes in the wall.
  2. Use 45mm screws (C) to attach shaft sleeves (B) within the four threaded holes on the back panel of the TV.
  3. Use a mounting bracket (A) as a guide to mark the positions for the four holes on the wall with a pencil.
  4. Using a drill, create holes in the marked positions on the wall.
  5. Insert the four wall anchors (E) into the screw holes in the wall.
  6. Place the mounting brackets against the wall, aligned with the wall anchors, ensuring the directional arrow is facing upwards.
  7. Fix the mounting brackets with the 60mm self-tapping screws (D).
  8. Attach the TV to the mounting brackets by placing all four shaft sleeves (B) into the larger openings of the brackets, then lowering the TV so that the shaft sleeves "lock" into place within the brackets.

It is recommended that two people perform step 5h together to ensure the sleeves are properly aligned before the TV is lowered onto the brackets.

NOTE: Only use wall-mounts that match the same size screws and fittings as those listed on this page. Other methods of wall-mounting have not been tested for this model and cannot be guaranteed to safely support the TV.

Many minor issues can be resolved by hard resetting, or power cycling the unit or upgrading the firmware.

To perform a hard reset, or power cycle, please use the following steps:

Poor Picture and Sound Quality

No Picture or Sound in TV Status

Remote Control Malfunctions

No Sound or Sound Too Low

Blurred or Snowy Picture, Distorted Sound

Picture Rolls Vertically

No Colour, Wrong Colour or Tints

Image is Not Centred on the Screen

"No Signal" on HDMI Source

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the television from the power supply before cleaning. Do not use any liquid cleaners or harsh chemicals. Always use a soft, damp cloth.

Cleaning the Screen

Wet a soft cloth in a mixture of lukewarm water and a little fabric softener or dish washing detergent. Wring the cloth until it's almost dry, and then use it to wipe the screen.

Make sure the excess water is off the screen, and then let it air-dry before you turn on your TV.

Cleaning the Casing

To remove dirt or dust, wipe the TV casing with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Please be sure not to use a wet cloth.
