Assembly Instructions
- Attach Large Casters to Base: Secure two large casters to the back of the base using four M8 x 20 mm bolts and four M8 washers per caster. Tighten with a 1/2" socket. (Refer to Figure 1, showing the bottom view of the base with large casters attached).
- Attach Small Casters to Base: Flip the base upright. Attach two small casters to the front of the base. Secure each with four M8 x 20 mm Phillips countersunk screws, four M8 washers, and four M8 hex locknuts. Tighten with a 1/2" socket. (Refer to Figure 2, showing the top view of the base with small casters attached).
- Attach Upright to Base: Secure the upright to the base on both sides using one M16 x 100 mm bolt, one M16 washer, and one M16 hex locknut per side. Tighten with a 15/16" socket. (Refer to Figure 3, showing the upright attached to the base).
- Attach Handle and Support Braces: Attach the handle and support braces to each side of the upright. Secure all parts with one M16 x 120 mm bolt, one M16 washer, and one M16 hex nut. Tighten with a 15/16" socket. Note: Hand tightening may be needed for steps 4 and 5 to allow bolts to align. Fully tighten with a 15/16" socket once aligned. (Refer to Figure 4, showing the handle and support braces attached to the upright).
- Attach Support Braces to Base: Attach the support braces to the inside of both sides of the base. Secure each side with one M16 x 100 mm bolt, one M16 washer, and one M16 hex locknut. Tighten with a 15/16" socket. (Refer to Figure 5, showing support braces attached to the base).
- Attach Large Casters to Legs: Attach two large casters to the legs. Secure each caster with four M8 x 20 mm bolts and four M8 washers. Tighten with a 1/2" socket. (Refer to Figure 6, showing large casters attached to the legs).
- Insert Legs into Base: Insert the legs into the base. Secure each leg with two 4" pins and two cotter pins. Note: When legs are in the down position, secure pins and cotter pins in the first and third holes. When legs are folded, secure pins and cotter pins in the first and second holes. (Refer to Figure 7, showing legs secured with pins; Figure 8, showing a side view of folded legs).
- Attach Hydraulic Jack: Place the hydraulic jack onto the upright and secure the bottom of the jack with one M16 x 90 mm bolt, one M16 washer, and one M16 hex locknut. Tighten with a 15/16" socket. (Refer to Figure 9, showing the hydraulic jack attached to the upright).
- Attach Boom to Upright: Place the boom on top of the upright. Secure with one M18 x 120 mm bolt, one M18 washer, and one M18 hex locknut. Tighten with a 1 1/8" socket. (Refer to Figure 10, showing the boom attached to the upright).
- Align Hydraulic Jack with Boom: Raise the hydraulic jack until the top of the jack aligns with the boom. Secure with one M16 x 90 mm bolt, one M16 washer, and one M16 hex locknut. Tighten with a 15/16" socket. (Refer to Figure 11, showing the hydraulic jack aligned with the boom).
- Insert Boom Extension: Slide the boom extension into the boom. Secure at the desired tonnage position on the boom with one M16 x 90 mm bolt, one M16 washer, and one M16 hex locknut. Tighten with a 15/16" socket. (Refer to Figure 12, showing the boom extension being inserted).
- Attach Chain: Attach the selected chain through the slot on the bottom of the boom extension and secure with one M14 x 80 mm bolt, one M14 washer, and one M14 hex nut. Tighten with a 7/8" socket. Note: The one-ton chain can only be used at the 1/2 and one-ton boom positions. The two-ton chain can be used at all boom positions. (Refer to Figure 13, showing chain attachment).
Operation
To Raise Load
- Turn the release valve clockwise to a snug-tight position. (Refer to Figure 14). Note: Do not overtighten.
- Note: When the hydraulic floor crane is unloaded, the boom can be raised to a preferred position by turning the release valve clockwise and pushing up on the boom by hand.
To Lower Load
- Turn the release valve counterclockwise very slowly. The speed is controlled by how much the release valve is turned. (Refer to Figure 14).
Figure 14 Description: A diagram illustrating the operation of the release valve. It shows the release valve with an arrow indicating clockwise rotation for raising the load and counterclockwise rotation for lowering the load. The jack handle is also visible.
