Getting Started: Unboxing and Setup
This guide provides essential steps for setting up your Philips Professional Display. Please read all safety instructions before proceeding.
Unboxing and Initial Placement
Carefully unpack the display and its accessories. It is recommended to have two people to lift and position the display to avoid damage. The unboxing process involves laying out the TV and its components.
Attaching the Stand
If using the stand:
- Place the display face down on a soft, flat surface to protect the screen.
- Attach the stand components, typically the base and arm, to the back of the display using the provided screws (usually 4 screws).
- Securely fasten the stand to the display.
Note: Ensure all screws are tightened properly.
Preparing for Wall Mounting
If wall mounting the display, ensure you have the appropriate VESA mounting hardware. The display supports VESA mounting patterns.
Wall Mount Dimensions:
- For 50-inch models: 100x200mm mounting pattern, using M6 screws with a length between 10mm and 20mm.
- For 55-inch models: 100x200mm mounting pattern, using M6 screws with a length between 10mm and 20mm.
Refer to the separate User Manual for detailed wall mounting instructions.
Connecting Your Display
Connect the necessary cables to the ports on the back of your display. The display features a variety of input and output ports.
Available Ports:
- POWER: Connect to the power outlet.
- DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: For connecting audio devices.
- IR IN/OUT: For infrared signal control.
- NETWORK: Connect to your network via Ethernet cable for internet access. Wireless network connectivity is also supported.
- SAT (EU): Connect to a satellite receiver.
- TV ANTENNA: Connect to an antenna.
- HDMI 1 ARC: High-Definition Multimedia Interface port with Audio Return Channel.
- HDMI 2/3: Additional HDMI ports for connecting video sources like Blu-ray players or game consoles.
- OPTICAL: For digital audio connection.
- USB: For connecting USB devices such as external storage or peripherals.
- COMMON INTERFACE (CAM): For conditional access modules.
- HDD: For connecting hard disk drives.
Connect your Router to the NETWORK port for internet access. The display supports wireless network connectivity.
Connect external devices such as set-top boxes, game consoles, or media players to the HDMI ports. The display requires a power source and may require connections to antenna, satellite, or network for content reception.
