EAW MKC120 2-Way Coaxial Loudspeaker
Overview
The MKC series represents a significant evolution in coaxial loudspeaker design. Available in black or white, the MKC series offers a range of driver sizes suitable for diverse installation applications and configurations. The enclosures can be mounted horizontally or vertically using a pan & tilt wall bracket or a U-Bracket. Pole stand mounting with adjustable tilt is also an option.
Equipped with a Concentric Summation Array (CSA) aperture, the MKC120 achieves superior pattern control, delivering consistent tonality across the entire coverage area, even at high sound pressure levels (SPL).
Technologies
- Beamwidth Matched Crossovers: EAW engineers utilize precisely designed HF horns and crossovers to minimize polar irregularities at the crossover point, ensuring consistent sound across frequencies.
- Focusing™: This technology employs advanced digital signal processing to optimize the loudspeaker's impulse response in the time domain. It eliminates horn "honk" and "splashiness," resulting in a studio monitor-like sound quality.
- Dyno™: Dynamic Optimization actively monitors the input spectrum and power delivery to maximize output and fidelity at all drive levels.
- Symmetry of Sources™: A symmetrical arrangement of acoustic sources along a common axis ensures consistent performance throughout the coverage pattern.
- Concentric Summation Array (CSA)™: This method seamlessly integrates Mid Frequency (MF) and High Frequency (HF) components within a single horn. CSA allows multiple subsystems to sum coherently, maintaining a continuous wavefront for both HF and MF components.
