Quick Start Guide
Set Up Bike Computer
Follow these steps to get your Wahoo ELEMNT GPS bike computer ready:
- Download the Wahoo ELEMNT Companion App: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Turn On ELEMNT: Hold the left-side button to power the device on or off.
- Scan QR Code to Pair with Phone: If the QR code is not displayed on the ELEMNT screen, press the left-side menu button and select "Pair Phone". Scan the QR code shown on your ELEMNT with the Wahoo ELEMNT Companion App. When prompted by your smartphone, tap "Pair" to complete the process.
- Follow App Instructions: Connect to Wi-Fi, authorize other apps, complete your personal data form, and link to social media and/or email accounts as guided by the app.
- Update Firmware: Update the device's firmware if prompted by the app.
The ELEMNT device screen displays key metrics such as speed, time, distance, elevation, and battery status.
Pair Sensors
- Turn On ELEMNT and Go to Menu: Press the top-left button to access the menu.
- Select "Add Sensor".
- Activate Sensor and Hold Near ELEMNT: Shake the sensor to activate it. Look for LED lights to blink. Note: LEDs will disable after 30 seconds to conserve battery.
- Save Sensor: Once detected, save the sensor.
Mount to Bike
Choose one of the following mounting options:
- Option 1: Out-Front Mount. Compatible with 31.8mm handlebars. Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to securely attach the mount to the handlebars.
- Option 2: Stem Mount. Use the included zip ties to attach the mount to the bike stem.
- Option 3: Aero Mount. Use a 3mm Allen wrench to securely attach the mount to aero bars.
Button Functionality
- MENU: Hold to power the device on or off.
- SMART BUTTONS: These buttons change functionality based on the current screen displayed.
- PAGE OVER: Advances to the next screen or page.
- SCROLL UP AND DOWN: Navigates through options or data lists.
