Shelly Plus H&T User and Safety Guide
This document provides essential technical and safety information for the Shelly Plus H&T Wi-Fi Humidity and Temperature Sensor.
Product Introduction
Shelly® devices are innovative microprocessor-managed products enabling remote control of electric circuits via mobile phone, tablet, PC, or home automation systems. They can operate standalone on a local Wi-Fi network or through cloud home automation services like Shelly Cloud, accessible via Android/iOS apps or web browsers at https://home.shelly.cloud/. Devices can be monitored and controlled remotely with internet connectivity. Each device has an embedded Web Interface accessible at http://192.168.33.1 (direct connection) or via its IP address on the local network. Shelly devices communicate via HTTP and offer an API (details at https://shelly-api-docs.shelly.cloud/#shelly-family-overview). Allterco Robotics EOOD provides firmware updates free of charge to maintain conformity and security. Users are solely responsible for installing these updates.
The Shelly Plus H&T is a Wi-Fi smart humidity and temperature sensor.
Installation Instructions
⚠ CAUTION! Do not use the Device if it has been damaged. Do not attempt to service or repair the Device yourself.
1. Power Supply
The Shelly Plus H&T can be powered by 4 AA (LR6) 1.5 V batteries or a USB Type-C power supply adapter.
⚠ CAUTION! Use only compliant batteries or USB Type-C power supply adapters. Improper power sources may damage the Device and cause fire.
A. Batteries
Remove the back cover using a flat screwdriver (Fig. 1). Insert batteries into the bottom row (Fig. 3) and then the top row (Fig. 4). Ensure correct polarity (+/-) as marked in the battery compartment (Fig. 2 A).
B. USB Type-C Power Supply Adapter
Insert the USB Type-C cable into the Device's USB Type-C port (Fig. 2 C).
⚠ CAUTION! Do not connect a damaged adapter or cable. Unplug the USB cable before removing or replacing the back cover.
⚠ IMPORTANT: The Device cannot be used to charge rechargeable batteries.
2. Starting Up
Upon initial power-up, the Device enters Setup mode, displaying 'SEt'. The access point (AP) is enabled by default (indicated in the bottom right corner). If not enabled, press and hold the Reset button (Fig. 2 B) for 5 seconds.
⚠ IMPORTANT: To conserve battery, the Device stays in Setup mode for 3 minutes before entering Sleep mode (displaying measured temperature). Briefly press the Reset button to return to Setup mode. Pressing briefly while in Setup mode puts the device into Sleep mode.
3. Inclusion to Shelly Cloud
For Shelly Cloud integration, refer to the "App Guide" for instructions on connecting and controlling the Device via the Shelly App. Standalone use or integration with other home automation platforms is also supported.
⚠ CAUTION! Keep devices for remote control (phones, tablets, PCs) away from children. Do not allow children to play with buttons/switches connected to the Device.
4. Manual Connection to a Local Wi-Fi Network
Manage the Shelly Plus H&T via its web interface. Ensure the Device is in Setup mode with its access point enabled. Connect using a Wi-Fi enabled device and navigate to 192.168.33.1 in a web browser. Click 'Networks', expand the 'Wifi' section, enable 'Wifi1' and/or 'Wifi2' (backup network), enter the SSID(s), and password(s), then click 'APPLY'. The Device URL will appear in blue upon successful connection.
⚠ RECOMMENDATION: For security, disable AP mode after successful Wi-Fi connection by expanding the 'Access point' section and toggling the 'Enable' switch.
Replace the back cover when ready to integrate the Device with Shelly Cloud or another service.
⚠ CAUTION! Unplug the USB cable before removing or placing the back cover.
5. Attaching the Stand
To place the Device on a horizontal surface, attach the stand as shown in Fig. 5.
6. Wall Mounting
To mount on a wall, use the back cover to mark the mounting location. ⚠ CAUTION! Do not drill through the back cover. Use screws with a head diameter between 5-7 mm and a thread diameter up to 3 mm. Alternatively, use a double-sided foam sticker.
⚠ CAUTION! The Device is for indoor use only. Protect from dirt and moisture. Do not use in damp environments or expose to water splashes.
