Assembly and Setup Guide
Follow these steps before assembling the parts package and for initial startup:
- Install transmitter batteries.
- Loosen receiver antenna.
- Connect ESC and battery.
- Turn on the remote controller.
- Turn on the ESC.
- Hold the car for 3 seconds to allow the MGX GYRO indicator light to flash from red to green, completing the gyro boot process.
Important Notes:
- Please play in an open and safe area.
- The default settings for the RMX 2.5 RTR electronics (Transceiver set, ESC, Gyro) are factory-set and can be used immediately after attaching the battery. Refer to the instructions for adjustments.
- Gyro Sensitivity Adjustment:
- Reduce LIMIT GAIN sensitivity (counter-clockwise) if the front wheels wobble easily on high-grip surfaces.
- Increase LIMIT GAIN sensitivity (clockwise) to improve car control on low-grip surfaces and prevent spinning.
Electronic Setup and Wiring
Factory Electronic Setting Diagram:
The diagram shows the connection for the motor, ESC, receiver, and gyro. A short battery (L96 x W47 x H25.5mm) is recommended for optimal performance.

Battery and Body Mount Installation
Step 2: Attaching Battery
- Battery installation methods may vary by manufacturer and specification.
- Connect the battery securely.
- After all settings are complete, play in a safe place. Turn on the transmitter first, then the car. Turn off in reverse order.
Step 3: Attaching Body Mount
- Adjust the body mount height according to the body shell.
- The 820141 Stealth magnetic body post set is recommended for aesthetic purposes, avoiding the need to drill 5.5mm holes in the car shell.
Gear Ratio Calculation and Tire Guide
Gear Ratio Formula:
Gear Ratio = (Spur gear teeth / Pinion gear teeth) * (Differential gear / Main shaft gear)
Gear Ratio Table (for 80T Spur Gear):
Pinion Gear Teeth | Gear Ratio (60T Diff / 20T Main Shaft) |
---|---|
22T | 10.91 |
23T | 10.43 |
24T | 10 |
25T | 9.6 |
26T | 9.23 |
27T | 8.89 |
*Adjust for proper space.
Tire Guide (CS-R):
The guide shows recommended surfaces and grip levels for different tire compounds:
- Low Grip: Yellow (830001), Green (830003), Red (101024/830002) for Common surfaces.
- High Grip: Gold (101025/830009) for Road Grip, Silver (101026) for General, Blue (101028) for Asphalt, PC (101027) for Asphalt, White (830010) for Carpet.
