All specifications are test results based on ANSI/NEMA FL1-2009 Standard. The maximum output brightness will decrease as the battery voltage decreases.
Operation
ON/OFF
Press the switch to turn the light on or off. When turned on again, it will return to the previously memorized brightness level. L1-L4 modes are memorized when the light is turned off. L5-L8 modes are memorized for 10 minutes before reverting to mode L4. The strobe mode is not memorized.
(L1 is the lowest output level, known as nightlight mode. L8 is the highest output level.)
Change Brightness Level
When the flashlight is on, press and hold the switch. The brightness level will cycle automatically in ascending order. Release the switch to select the desired mode.
Direct Access to Lowest Output
When the flashlight is off, press and hold the switch for more than one second to access the lowest mode (L1).
Direct Access to Highest Output
When the flashlight is not locked out, quickly double-click the switch to access the highest mode (L8).
Strobe Mode
Quickly triple-click (or more than three times) the switch to enter strobe mode. A single click will turn the light off or return to the previously memorized brightness level.
Lock/Unlock Function
To Lock: When the flashlight is off, press and hold the switch for over two seconds. The flashlight will briefly turn on in L1 mode and then switch off to indicate lockout mode is activated.
To Unlock: While in lockout mode, press and hold the switch for less than one second. The LED indicators will turn on for about three seconds to signal that it is still locked. To fully unlock, press and hold the switch for over one second and release it to return to normal functionality.
Shoulder Strap
Pull up the shoulder strap hole attachment on the flashlight head above the switch and attach one side of the strap to it. Attach the other end to the metal ring at the other end of the flashlight.
Safety Warnings
DANGER: Do not throw the light directly into human eyes. This may cause temporary blindness or permanent damage to the eyes.
DO NOT cover the light head when the flashlight is on, or place the flashlight head on the ground. The radiation energy may cause damage to the flashlight itself or result in burning to other materials.
Please DO NOT cover a flashlight that is on. The generated heat can cause burning or even unpredictable disasters.
Please Do Not Charge And Use At The Same Time.

Battery Level and Temperature Note
The maximum output brightness can change due to the remaining battery level and flashlight temperature. When the battery level is at P5 or above and the temperature is below 80°C, output level L8 (25,000 lumens) is the maximum. If the battery level is below P5, or the temperature is above 80°C (but below 105°C), L6 becomes the maximum output. If the temperature rises above 105°C, the maximum output level will be L4.

Charging
For optimal user experience, completely charge the battery before your first use. Due to IATA regulations, the flashlight is not shipped with a full charge.
- Remove the power adapter from the packaging.
- Open the charging port cover on the flashlight next to the switch.
- Connect the adapter to the charging port and the other end to a wall socket.
When charging begins, the LED battery indicators will display the remaining power level, with the next level showing a blinking indicator. The flashlight is fully charged when the blinking stops and all levels are illuminated. Remove the adapter and ensure the port cover has a tight seal.
The same directions apply to the car charger.
Charging Notes:
- While charging, the LED indicator on the top blinks once per second.
- When the battery is at 10% or lower, the lowest LED indicator (P1) blinks.
- Maximum time to reach a full charge: 4 hours (DC Adapter), 7 hours (Car Charger).
X9R Case Operation
When air pressure inside and outside the X9R case changes due to extreme temperature or altitude changes, this could potentially cause the case lid to not open or collapse. To counteract this effect, turn the counterbalance valve on the front of the case counter-clockwise to balance the pressure.
Visual Description: The case has a counterbalance valve located on its front.
Installation and Setup
Battery Installation
- Before first use, remove the protective film on the lens.
- Unscrew the tailcap and take out the battery pack.
- Remove the insulating film from the battery pack.
Visual Description: An insulating film is present on the battery pack, which must be removed. - Screw the tailcap back on tightly after inserting the battery pack.
Anti-Roll Ring Installation
Remove the anti-roll ring from the packaging and slip it onto the light starting from the tail cap. Place it into the designated area located on the flashlight head.
Warranty and Support
Warranty Period
- Within 30 days of purchase: Contact the original seller for repair or replacement.
- Within 10 years of purchase: Contact Olight for repair or replacement.
- Battery Warranty: Olight offers a one-year warranty for all rechargeable batteries.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, modifications, misuse, disintegrations, negligence, accidents, improper maintenance, or repair by anyone other than an Authorized retailer or Olight itself.
Exclusion Clause
Olight is not liable for damages or injuries sustained resulting from the usage of the product inconsistent with the warnings in the manual, including but not limited to using the product inconsistent with the recommended lockout mode.
