V380 Pro Wi-Fi Solar-powered Camera
Device Installation
Follow these instructions for installing your V380 Pro Wi-Fi Solar-powered Camera.
Solar Panel Introduction and Setup
Charging the Battery:
- For initial charging, it is recommended to use the provided DC 5V/2A power adapter connected to the battery compartment's charging port.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged before proceeding. After charging, securely close the waterproof rubber plug.
- For optimal charging efficiency, it is recommended to switch the device to "OFF" mode during charging.
- The first charging session should ideally last longer than 8 hours.
Battery Usage:
- The battery is a sensitive component. Use reliable 18650 batteries.
- The company is not responsible for issues like short circuits or burnout caused by the use of inferior batteries, and such issues will not be covered by after-sales service.
Connecting Solar Panel and Powering On:
- Install the bracket.
- Connect the battery power supply cable to the solar panel.
- Turn the power switch on the battery holder to "ON". The camera will flash a red indicator light, indicating it is ready for network configuration.
Optimal Placement:
- Install the solar panel in a location that receives sufficient sunlight to maximize battery charging efficiency and extend battery life.
- Regularly clean the solar panel surface to remove leaves, dust, or other debris that may affect charging efficiency.
Key Components:
- Charging Indicator: Visual feedback on charging status.
- Battery Power Supply Connector: Connects the battery to the camera.
- Charging Port: For connecting the power adapter.
- Power Switch: Turns the device on or off.
- Bracket: For mounting the device.
Resetting the Camera
To reset the camera to its factory default settings:

- The device will prompt "Reset completed", and the red indicator light will flash slowly, confirming a successful reset.
APP Installation and Camera Setup
Download and install the "V380 Pro" application:

- Select "Scan QR code".
- Use your mobile phone to scan the QR code displayed on the device.
- Follow the on-screen prompts within the app to complete the network configuration.
Network Connection Methods
Ensure the device's red indicator light is flashing slowly before proceeding with network configuration. If it's abnormal, reset the device by pressing and holding the reset button.
QR Code Network Connection
- In the V380 Pro app, select the Wi-Fi network the device should connect to and enter the correct password. Note: Only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is supported. Avoid Wi-Fi names with special characters.
- The app will generate a QR code. Position the device's camera to scan this QR code.
- Once the device successfully recognizes the QR code, it will display a message like "Received configuration information, Wi-Fi connecting".
- After the device indicates "the network connection has been completed", it means the device has successfully connected to the network and been added to your account.
AP Hotspot Connection
This method allows connection via the device's own Wi-Fi hotspot.
- In the V380 Pro app, tap "+" and select "Add Camera" > "WiFi Smart Camera" > "AP hotspot connection".
- Select the Wi-Fi network the device should connect to and enter the correct password.
- Follow the app instructions to connect your mobile device to the camera's hotspot (often named starting with "MV" or "HIWIFI").
- Once connected to the hotspot, return to the V380 Pro app. The device will then automatically connect to your selected Wi-Fi network.
Note on Wi-Fi: The device exclusively supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Ensure you select a 2.4GHz network and that the Wi-Fi name does not contain special symbols.
Troubleshooting: If you do not hear a voice prompt confirming successful scanning, or if the device fails to connect to the internet, verify that your router has a stable internet connection.
If the QR code on the device is damaged, you can use a provided alternative QR code (or scan the one mentioned in the manual for reconfiguration) to set up the network.
PIR Human Detection Function
The camera utilizes a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor to detect human presence by sensing infrared rays emitted by the human body. This detection triggers an alarm.
PIR Sensitivity Settings:
- "PIR sensitivity" can be adjusted within the app's settings.
- For environments with frequent movement, consider disabling "PIR sensitivity" or setting it to "Low" to prevent unnecessary wake-ups and conserve battery life.
Sensitivity Levels:
- High: Wakes up and alarms every time motion is detected.
- Medium: Wakes up and alarms if motion is continuously detected for 3 seconds.
- Low: Wakes up and alarms if motion is continuously detected for 5 seconds.
Indicator Light Status
Understanding the indicator light provides information about the camera's operational status:
- OFF: The device is powered off or in sleep mode.
- Slow flashing red light: The device is ready for network connection.
- Quick flashing red light: The device is currently connecting to the router.
- Solid yellow light: The device has been activated/woken up.
- Flashing yellow light: The device is attempting to connect to the Internet.
